BLOG OF THE WEEK
Boingboing has become the most popular English-language blog by living up to its slogan as a “directory of wonderful things”. We-Make- Money-Not-Art finds and delivers the same wonderful things found on the internet, but concentrates more on art, design, architecture and other cool ephemera. Run by the Belgian blogger Régine Debatty, its subject matter is wildly eclectic and covers remote-control cars that are driven by someone’s breath, Berlin’s Sonambiente, the “festival for hearing and seeing”, the rise of avatar- based virtual reporting on websites such as Second Life, and such images of the day as Chris Klapper’s slightly disturbing artwork SWARM — a group of insect-like babies suspended from the ceiling by cables and springs. The sheer variety of the daily content will keep you coming back again and again.

PODCAST OF THE WEEK
Many a fan of the modern western rued the day that HBO announced that there was to be no fourth series of Deadwood. However, thanks to the Real Deadwood Podcast we can gain closure. This podcast combines interviews, entertainment and news from both the fictional and real towns. The TV Deadwood may yield chats with stars such as Robin Weigert, who played Calamity Jane, while in the real world there are interviews with a director of the Adams Museum and House, and a city commissioner who works in PR and advertising. What you get is a fully rounded snapshot of a place brimming with history.
