could you at least update the list of books as to which have gone and which are to follow , as no the 3rd policeman due out tomorrow
phil jackson, manchester, england
Can somebody u[date this page with the complete list of 99p books please?
Fergus Cross, Kingston, UK
My journey of twelve miles each way-no bus service- and since I have The Times delivered each day, it's not such a bargain BUT I'm enjoying the books when I can. Is there any chance of buying those I miss ?

Its obvious that WHSmith contribute towards this offer and i find it surprising that intelligebt readers of The Times cannot see this. As someone else has said, if you want the books that much and subscribe, is £1.64 so much to pay given the saving you make?
Keith, Eastbourne, UK
Doesn't a Times subscription cost £2 a week - well that was the price of the most recent offer I had! That's the cost of the Sunday Times ALONE - surely you can afford to stump up another £1.59 to get a paper and book if you want to?? I guess you don't get rich by spending it do you...
Cathy, Southampton,
Perhaps people would prefer this offer to be limited only to 'local shops for local people'!
WHSmith is the country's largest newsagent!
If people are that desperate to read these books why haven't they already bought them? Or, perish the thought, used their local library!
I'm afraid I don't have much sympathy for people who already have a substantial discount by paying subscriptions up front moaning about missing a 99p book!
D Goldthorp, Glasgow, Scotland
I agree with all the disgruntled people who cannot take advantage of this offer. I am an avid reader and have had the Times on pre-paid vouchers for some years now. As I live in very rural Cumbria If I wanted to get to the nearest W H Smith branch it would be a journey of around 40 miles each day! It's not fair that we cannot take advantage of this offer!
Barbara Hill, Coniston, Cumbria
Thank you for a wonderful offer!
I just finished reading Bee Season, and absolutely ADORED it.
My only regret is that I missed the first 3 books, which also sounded great. I'm looking forward to buying this weeks book!
Nicole, London,
I quite agree with all the comments - I also have The Times delivered and feel cheated that I cannot enjoy the 99p book collection - I hope something will be done about this.
Coralle, Looe, Cornwall
I think this offer is excellent.
Obviously this offer aims to encourage readers into WHSmith, and this is how they can sell the books so cheaply - so an online or collect tokens and pay p&p would not work! If you buy your copies from elsewhere, surprise surprise, you're also not able to take advantage of the offer!
It really does annoy me that most of you can be so disgruntled that the times would dare to have this offer which didn't suit your lifestyle perfectly. May I suggest you buy the books second-hand on ebay... on second thoughts perhaps that might be too laborious for you!
Zoe, Bristol,
This really does seem ill thought-out. My nearest WH Smith is over 20 miles away, and of course station concourse branches are not included. Very disappointing.
Zoe, Norfolk,
I am yet another regular subscriber who feels let down by this fabulous looking offer.
Are you going to fix it for us?
Lesley Wright, Stockport, UK
I am in the same position as David Skinner, using my subscription at my local newsagent and having the Times delivered every day, so this offer is effectively useless. How many subscribers are in the same position I wonder? What is wrong with the usual "collect the tokens and send a cheque off including p+p"? So much more convenient. Come on, own up and admit this offer was not properly thought through and put it right so that all Times readers have the same opportunity to enjoy the offer!
Gillian Mason, sutton Coldfield,
The Fleet Street branch is listed as taking part in the book offer but I went along there the other day and the shop has shut down!
Tracey, London,
In previous years there was a brochure supplied, listing all the books with synopses. You knew what was coming and could arrange well in advance to go to get ones you really wanted.
And I agreee - it is totally unfair that regular subscribers who have the paper delivered all year are compelled to buy a second copy just to get the book. We should be able to get it in exchange for a token and 99p.
J.L., Manchester,
I find the fact that the offer is limited to WH Smith High Street shops very inconvenient as a commuter it is much easier to buy the paper at station outlets. Would it not be possible to collect the books by voucher from WH Smith outlets at the end of the week on a Sunday, this would give most people a better chance of obtaining them whilst retaining the need to visit a WH Smith branch thereby boosting their sales.
Clare Bermingham, London,
If 'Anita and Me' is still on this page tomorrow as the current book, you'll be two books behind. Do try to keep up!
Colin, Walton-on-Thames,
I agree, Linda. It's really annoying. Come on, The Times.
Win, Birmingham,
I have collected and enjoyed all of the books in the last 2 offers from WH Smith in London, Leadenhall, 15 Lime St. This time they have missed the last two books, The Long Distance Runner is still the only book on display. I have spoken to the manager, who says that no further books have been sent by you. Is there any other way to get hold of the last two weeks books? Are you going to continue supplying this shop?
Jenny Hornby, London,
I also missed the first book of this offer. Please, please, please give us another opportunity to purchase "The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner".
Michael Hill, Cumbria.
Michael Hill, Kendal, Cumbria
Is there no way that these 99p books can be obtained online?
It is very difficult for me to get to a WH Smith until the weekend, by which time the books have all been sold.
Not all outlets actually stock this offer: I have had difficulty tracking down The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner, a title I particularly wanted.
Please consider making these books more accessible: it is very frustrating to miss out! on such an opportunity!
Linda Mather, Worcester
Linda Mather, Worcester, England
An interesting selection! Like another reader who has responded, I missed the first book as I don't recall seeing any publicity about this current offer. In previous years, I have collected every single book. Is there any chance of obtaining "The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner"?
Carol Everitt, Derby, Derbyshire, United Kingdom
Unfortunately I missed the first week 99p Book Offer. Is it possible to obtain the first book offered?
B Misiaczek, Holmfirth, England
Also unable to find a WH Smith that stocks these books. Disappointed as this looks to be an interesting set of books that I would enjoy reading. Can we buy them online?
Stephen, London, UK
I was looking forward to reading this week's book and went to 3 different WH Smith in the city of London and they said they didn't receive the book. Is there anyway to buy them on line ? is there a list of the WH Smith where to find them ?
sophie, London, London
Offering these books but only through WH Smith is unfair. I buy the Times every day but would have to go considerably out of my way to work to pass a WH Smith. The Telegraph's book offers allow one to cut out a coupon and pay a small premium to receive the books by post. Disappointing, as the collection is imaginative.
Jonathan, Bethnal Green, London, UK
I am a Times subscriber so I get my copies delivered from the local newsagent. That seems to disbar me from collecting these books - unless I buy another copy from W H Smith - which is a bit unfair.
David Skinner, Newbury, Berkshire, UK
I was looking forward to reading the first book but four WHS shops could not help me. All had either sold out or didn't have the book at all.
Perhaps next week
Greg , Liverpool, UK
