"Coral reefs aren't known as the rainforests of the sea for nothing", says the blurb to Reef, a superb collection of photographs that take you up close to the weird and wonderful creatures of the sea. Published in association with The Marine Conservation Society, Reef is the work of Scubazoo, an acclaimed team of underwater cameramen who have devoted their lives to the filming and conservation of reefs.

Scubazoo was founded by Simon Christopher, who quit a sales job in London to follow his passion for diving. He set up the group's main base in Sabah, on the island of Borneo, in an area known as the coral triangle that is the heart of the world’s fish and coral biodiversity.

Five key members now make up the Scubazoo team of cameramen, marine biologists and conservationists, and together they have worked on a range of projects including filming for the BBC series Planet Earth as well as National Geographic and the satellite channel Discovery.
