Terry Pratchett

Terry Pratchett is one of the most popular authors writing today and is the acclaimed creator of the bestselling Discworld series. The first Discworld novel, The Colour of Magic, was published in 1985 and there are now over 30 books in the series. The first Discworld novel for children, The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents, was published in 2001 and was awarded the 2001 Carnegie Medal.

Long regarded as a significant satirist, Pratchett has won numerous literary awards, was appointed OBE in 1998 and has received four honorary doctorates. He lives behind a keyboard in Wiltshire with his family and says he ‘doesn’t want to get a life, because it feels as though he’s trying to lead three already.’

Terry’s latest books, Making Money, Wintersmith (the fourth children’s Discworld title) and The Wit and Wisdom of Discworld are out now.
