Create your own comic and win a subscription

We have six three-month subscriptions and six special DFC goodie bags to give away to the creators of the six best comics. The six best entries, as judged by the DFC team, will each win a subscription and goodie bag, and have their comic displayed at www.thedfc.co.uk. Win a place on a DFC animation workshop

The DFC has invited us to send a young reporter to its comic animation workshop and launch, attended by Philip Pullman and Jacqueline Wilson, at the BFI Southbank, London SE1, on May 15 from 4pm onwards, where he or she will have the opportunity to animate a DFC comic strip. The lucky winner will later write a short account of the day's events, and the report and their animation will be posted online at timesonline.co.uk/books. E-mail your name and the name of a parent or guardian, along with your address and telephone number to bookscomp@thetimes.co.uk with “DFC” in the subject line. E-mails must be received by Monday May 12 at 10am. The winner will be drawn at random and notified by 6pm on May 12. Entrants must be aged between 8 and 12 on May 12. One entry per person. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times, and no travel expenses will be provided.
