can the times only think of ONE top woman SF writer? Where is Ursula le Guin, Joanna Russ, Marge Piercy?

I enjoyed the book and read it within a couple of days, but having worked out why the young girl died reasonably early on, I felt rather miffed that the mystery surrounding Rob Ryan was not resolved by the end, nor even any further clue given.
I know that in real life, not everything can be neatly tied up and resolved, but I did feel a bit cheated and wondered if I had somehow missed something in my haste to follow the story.
Having said that, if Tana French is planning another book with Cassie as the lead and uses the mystery as a strand, then I would certainly make a point of reading it.
