If you think Australia's most outspoken export has mellowed with age, think again. In her conversation with Clive James, Germaine Greer proves that she's as feisty as ever.

Watch her rail against the British Government for proposing to withdraw voting rights for foreign nationals living in the UK. "Haven't they heard of the Boston Tea Party? F*** ’em. I'm going to refuse to pay income tax if they go through with this.”

Her view of Government ministers is abundantly clear. They “don’t know their arse from a hole in the ground” after they abolished Commonwealth scholarships (like the one that brought her to these shores) for people from Australia and New Zealand.

And female artists? Sylvia Plath, according to Greer, fell into the trap of turning her life into art. “I worry for Tracey Emin. It’s the same sort of thing. Why does Sylvia Plath end it and write about ending it before she does? Is it because the work is ended?”
