MySpace and the author Paulo Coelho are working together on an experimental film project. Inspired by Coelho’s novel The Witch of Portobello, it’s titled The Experimental Witch. Film-makers and musicians can submit film vignettes and music to Coelho’s MySpace page. These will be judged and compiled into a film. “Readers have created the movie in their heads,” Coelho said. “So I decided, if the movie of the book takes place in the head of the reader, why don’t I ask the reader to do the movie?” Submissions close on July 25.

If you think that the Big Brother house needs a homicidal maniac, VH1 is launching a new reality TV show for unknown actresses called Scream Queens, the winner of which will get a starring role in a horror film. It’s like Project Greenlight with more gore. Duncan Kenworthy, the producer of Notting Hill and Four Weddings . . ., is to remake My Fair Lady, Screen Daily reports.

Cameron Mackintosh is involved, and Keira Knightley is rumoured to be in talks for the central role. Film marketing is going green: Disney has commissioned a Prince Caspian garden, pictured right, inspired by its forthcoming fantasy film The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. It’s one of more than 30 at the BBC Gardeners’ World Live show at the NEC, Birmingham, until Sun.
