Times and Sunday Times critics slate the worst films of the year
Download 'Too Hot', an exclusive Specials track from iTunes

100: The
Hottie & The Nottie
"The most eagerly hated movie in America is a tongue-in-cheek homage to
Paris Hilton that has drawn nothing but poisonous reviews. On IMDb it has
been voted the worst film ever made" - James Christopher
99: Sex
and the City
"Everything great about the series has been lost in transition. The fizz
has gone, the fun looks fake and the laughs are few" - Cosmo Landesman
98: The
Incredible Hulk
"Millions of dollars of computer software at their disposal and the best
they can come up with is something that looks like angry Plasticine" -
Wendy Ide
97: Wanted
"A movie ruthlessly designed for an audience of comic nerds who suspect
that they are destined for greater things" - Kevin Maher
96: My
Blueberry Nights
"Wong Kar Wai’s first English-language film, and I, for one, hope it will
be his last. Something got lost in the translation: his talent" - Cosmo
Landesman
95: Easy
Virtue
"A criminal waste of Colin Firth – arguably the most charming man in
British cinema – in a role that requires him to shuffle around looking like
an unmade bed" - Wendy Ide
94: Zack
and Miri Make a Porno
"Seth Rogen is an amiable and chubby clown, and quite possibly the most
unconvincing romantic hero since Adam Sandler. The most soppy and unsexy
18-certificate skin-flick ever made" - James Christopher
93: Hannah
Montana
"Miley Cyrus hails from the Hilary Duff school of wholesome,
squeaky-clean candy pop. She comes across as another (fake) blonde singing
vacuous fluff, complete with pushy stage mom" - Saadeya Shamsuddin
92: The
Oxford Murders
"Imagine The Da Vinci Code remade by a philosophy student, set
mostly in Oxford bedsits starring Elijah Wood in the Tom Hanks role, and
featuring the world’s most unerotic sex scene" - Kevin Maher
91: Mister
Lonely
"Harmony Korine's bizarre film about a group of celebrity impersonators
who hole up in a Scottish castle: gives The Cottage a respectable run
for its money in terms of making no sense at all" - James Christopher
90: The
X-Files: I Want to Believe
"It’s just not very good; it’s an average episode of the TV series
stretched to feature length" - Wendy Ide
89: Fine,
Totally Fine
"If you’re someone who can never have enough Hello Kitty merchandise,
this might be just the film for you, but I would have found it hard to bear
even without the winsome music that dribbles through every scene" -
Edward Porter

I believe that My Bloody Valentine should have been first. That movie was horrible, but Diaster movie was just was bad. Still, never back down was great and such a touching movie.
Christina and Kelsey, San Fran, USA
Okay so this list is so unbelievebly wrong. First of all Pineapple Express is like one of the best movies I have ever seen, and secondly why isn't Twilight on this list. I am sorry to all of you who liked/likes it but frankly it sucked, just two hours of awkwardness, sorry.
Ma, gh,
The list is so wrong!! NEVER BACK DOWN IS A GREAT MOVIE! I can't stop watching it. I really liked it so does everyone I know, which is a lot a people!!! Step up to was okay, and twilight should be on here but it's not because you got those stupid fan girls who are just in love with Rob Patterson.
Lea , Frankford,
A great deal of these rejects have now made their way to cable tv. For the 2009 worst movie awards, "Things We Lost in the Fire," deserves two or even three nods. Don't get me wrong, the first four hours were a little slow.
Ada Moore, American Canyon, US
never back down was brilliant
Aaron massey, manchester,
this is hit and miss list- there are a lot of bad movies on here in deed- this list isn't Nearly as BAD as the top 100 movies they put together which doesn't have The Wrestler, Milk or Slumdog on it (?!?!?!)
as far as this list goes- two big mistakes here
The Foot Fist Way
and Pinapple Express
jeremiah welch, waverly, wood
wow! this list is so wrong! you critics need to get outside and stop watching movies all day idiots! i agree like 77% of this list. the others should not be on this list. TAKEN WAS A GOOD MOVIE! taken should be on the Best Movie List and Eagle Eye was amazing! THIS LIST IS SO WRONG IT DESERVES A 0.
Carl Redge, Seattle, USA
Taken is not a 2008 film.
Zolo, Sterling,
jumper and the bank job r good movies they dont belong there!!!!!!!!
Brock, B.I.C,
wow i diss-agree with almost every movie they put!!! : (
jake, los angelos, california
some movies your wrong about but the happening should be on that list
kristin, layton , utah
i cannot believe that One MIssed Call was not on this list. that was truly the WORST movie of 2008.
brad, baltimore, United States
I Do Agree with some of your picks not all here are my worst 10 movies of 2008 1. The Love Guru 2. The Dajeering Limited 3. You Don't Mess with the Zohan 4.The Happening 5. Forgetting Sarah Marshall 6. Fool's Gold 7. Step Brothers 8. 88 Minutes 9. Righteous Kill 10. Be Kind Rewind
Carlo, Toronto, Canada
yes i noticed You don;t mess with the zohan was missing, and the Happening. Both terrible movies! and step brothers, what a shocker! Unfortunatly i think Twlight should have been there. I love the books but the movie was a huge let down with bad acting.
Cathryn, perth,
The Love Guru was atrocious. But the worst movie of 2008 was The Day the Earth Stood Still.
blake, minneapolis, usa
I kind of skimmed through the list but I believe you missed Meet Dave, High School Musical, Twilight, College, super hero Movie, Saw V, Bangkok Dangerous, Doomsday, Transporter 3, The Spirit, and Punisher War Zone.
Miguel, Modesto,
Also The Happening and Zohan are missing too.
Perhaps you should remove some movies that don't belong here. Like "Body of Lies", which I agree was a huge disapointment considering the talent that created it, still there is no way you're going to convince me that Body Of Lies was worse than Zohan.
Miguel, Modesto,
Wendy Ide must be galled to see "Easy Virtue" is still on at the cinemas. Plainly her one woman vendetta against this film isn't working.
Amy Cottesloe, St Albans, UK
I'm surprised that CITY OF EMBER is on this list. It's a well crafted translation of the book and really well art directed and acted. The reference by the reviewer to Heath Robinson is clever and very much to the point. Also, the wardrobe looks like it came from Oxfam BECAUSE IT DID! Go see it.
Randall Berger, Melbourne, Australia
Adam Sandler is a master and Zohan is misunderstood. It gives everyone something to be embarassed about ( even dogs.) Perhaps that can bring us together.
I enjoyed Flawless, but thank you for including 27 Dresses, which my wife selected as a punishment.
Jeff, Boston, USA
Absolutely with Erryl on this one. Australia has to be one of the worst films of all time, not just 2008.
Mike B, London,
I have just seen 'Australia' and I'm surprised not to see it on the list. One iof the worst movies ever. Cliche after cliche abound abound, every scene dragged out to twice its natural length, unbelievably bad acting from Kidman, bad CGI effects, stupidity (windmill driven by no wind!) A xmas turkey
Erryl, London, UK
OK Diary of the Dead was a terrible movie and deserved to be higher on the lis than it was and Never Back Down is a GREAT movie that all my firends guys and girls like and where is that Jerry Seinfeld movie Bee Movie i saw it in theaters and the whole audience never laughed
Jeremy Cumpton, Foxworth, United States
I am sorry but I have seen 'You dont mess with the Zohan' & that by far was the worst film ever due to being very unfunny & awful stereotypes. I saw Get Smart & had some very funny moments. Also Death Race is an average film with good Action Sequences & doesnt deserve such a low grade.
Steven, Romford,
I think you are wrong about the bucket list! It was the best movie I viewed this year. Maybe you are too young to appreciate the underlying message of living each day as it was the last.
Sanra, St. Peters, USA
Some of those films are pretty bad agreed but what is wrong with you?! Dan In Real Life?? Taken? The Bucket List?? These were all good movies!!
Travis, Auckland, New Zealand
seriously, why aren't 'you don't mess with the zohan' and 'the love guru' on this list? those movies should be in the top 5!
I had to watch zohan in fast-forward because watching it in play was too excruciatiing.
Worst movies EVER!!!
Latoya, Paris, France
I agree about Ind Jones and the Crystal Skull - excruciatingly bad. Also Somers Town - trivial, sugary and improbable
Julian, London, UK
Unless I skimmed through it - where is "The Love Guru". That should be, by far, #1 on this list.
Tom, Bridgewater, Canada
Many many years ago, I was to be playing a maid in an amature dramatics society production of "The Women" (it fell through) but the actress who was playing Chystal Allan was better then Eva Longoria Parker.
Charlene Zacks , Toronto, Canada
Thank you for making "Meet the Spartans" # 2. I think it should be #1 but I haven't seen "Disaster Movie" so maybe it's worse. It is the only movie I can ever remember walking out on. I only could make it through 30 mins. I would have left after 15 mins, but I had a friend with me lol.
Mark, Dallas, TX, United States
Istar should be number one.
Dave, Leesburg, VA
I don't agree with Righteous Kill, I thought that film was very very good. I totally agree with Taken being on here...the bit at the start made me cringe "I AM A SUPERDAD AND I WILL FIND YOU AND I WILL KILL YOU", that nearly made me physically sick with embarasment for the writers!
Rach, Birmingham, United Kingdom
I think Batman was terrible. It annoyed me to the point I had to turn off the movie, why does Bruce Wayne talk one way, but Batman talks like he has a sore throat, i knwow he has to disguise his voice somewhat, but it was dreadful.
Troy Walton , Nashville , United States
where is 'death at a funeral'? it was torturous, no exagerration. in the words of comic book guy from the simpsons: WORSE.MOVIE.EVER.
adam, salisbury, uk
Agree with most of the entries on the list but they missed off 'Alarm'. An Irish movie we went to see last month when everything else was full, there was a reason this wasn't! It was so bad it was actually funny and everyone in the theatre was laughing at this so called psychological thriller..awful
John, Kirkwall, Orkney, Scotland
I can't believe that Bank Job, Vantage Point and Get smart were included in the list! Get smart was the funniest film this year in my opinion, and the Bank Job and Vantage Point had such good plots, and were exciting enough for me to survive the flight from Singapore to London!
Andre, Brisbane, Australia
difficult to believe the "my blueberry nights" is included on this list--while it certainly doesn't rate with wong kar wai classics such as "chungking express" or "in the mood for love", it's nonetheless a loving, daring exploration of the american road movie. highly underrated & underappreciated.
Jeremy Walton, Chicago, USA
the bank job was well made fun and totally watchable. cynical bagging of a brit film
jack e, lands end,
Totally agree with comments on Will Ferrell-he has only made one decent movie Stranger than Fiction and it was the concept that worked rather than him
beresford du-Cille, west Bromwich, United Kingdom
I actually really liked The Bank Job, Body of Lies and Rambo. I guess these films are too alpha male for the arty-farty sort of critics who like Broke Back Mountain (yawn).
James Wilson, London,
I did not see any of these movies. Probably never will. I did thoroughly enjoy the reviews. Laughed aloud plenty. Thanks to the critics.
david tinnon, Nampa, Idaho, USA
Those who rate Sex and the City as a bad film obviously have no understanding of the characters which we grow to love throughout the series. As for the others on the list, it is all opinion-based. While I agree that most of these trashy teen movies make the list, the entries are not accurate or fair
Laura, Leeds, United Kingdom
Can't believe there are 100 films out there worse than ' the Happening' ...
Why 'the Happening'?
- plants having people kill themselves
- Mark Wahlberg's facial expression
- Unnecessary marital troubles
- Running away from the wind
- Wahlberg appologising to a plant
- Nothing happening
mark, amsterdam, netherlands
I'd like to add two more recent films - transporter 3 and the day the earth stood still. Both very average films that made you feel disappointed and want your money back. Also Keanu found his perfect role at last! Plus the girl in transporter 3 made me cringe, awful acting!!!!
Paul, Warrington,
Seriously, wheres The Happening??? I'd have thought that would be number one, billed as a return to form for M Night Shymalan and turning out to be totally ludicrous, hilariously bad all round. For shame.
dan, birmingham,
this has to be in the top 100 stupid lists of the year
tommo, twatt, scotland
Michael Mac, you took the words right out of my fingertips... I also was convinced You Dont Mess With The Zohan had to be number one... how its not even made this list is even more baffling than how its producers could permit its release onto society. Utterly dreadful.
Matt, Chelmsford,
This year was bound to be an awful year for mainstream Hollywood. I find the order of this list to be rather silly though. Rambo may not be the next Jean de Florette but it goes down a treat if blood, guts and 50 cals are your thing. Looks to me like a bit of a half-baked list.
Dean, Cambridgshire,
The worst films, I find, are those that pretend to be important, serious and well acted while they are nothing of the sort. So topping my list is the latest impostor, Changeling. Banality disguising as profundity, terrible amateur dramatics as acting worthy of an Oscar.
Emma Walker, London, U.K.
YOU DONT MESS WITH THE ZOHAN. I swear i read through them all an as i got closer and closer to the finale i was thinking were is it? Its number one isnt it? ISNT IT? Unless none of the critics bothered watching it. DONT.
Michael Mac, Belfast,
you forgot STEP BROTHERS, a dismal film !!!!
ian, Culver City, CA, USA
What, no "The Love Guru"? Seriously? Good God, that film was excruciating and not even the brilliant Stephen Colbert or John Oliver could save that flaming pile which is a sparkling testament to its crappitude.
Magdolene Lives, Baltimore, USA
I have to add my two-penneth regarding The Happening. Unbelievably awful.
I saw the episode of South Park which hasn't been shown over here yet where the makers passed their opinion, in their own inimitable style, on the Indiana Jones and Star Wars films. Have to agree with them!!
Martin, Otley,
agree with bank job, zohan, indiana jones and the diabolical wanted.bucket list was so predictable but watchable for morgan and jack.
ed, melbourne , australia
The Day The Earth Stood Still has to go on to any list of the year's worst films.
Pat Mackay, Gisborne , New Zealand
This list would be fine, if not for the fact that it's a list of movies that certain people disliked, rather than a list of the 100 Worst Movies of 2008.
Owen Harkness, Auckland, New Zealand
I am a regular movie goer and the worst film I have seen is.....Blindness. Utter garbage...folks suddenly go blind...get herded into a hospital where they fight and stuff...blind dudes fighting....not the best action ,,,,and then they get their sight back.......
Peter, Manchester, UK
"Australia" must have been close to making the list - not only because it delivered so so little of such large possibilities but because it was boring cinema.
Daniel, Brisbane, Australia
Thanks for the list. I have only seen one of the movies on the list, and have never heard of most of them. I feel sorry for those who have seen them. Leatherheads was pretty good. I looked like George Cloony was having a great time. I guess it depends on how much money you paid to see it.
Ann Rommel, Chatham, NY, USA
yes ,the happening!!!!!!
Everything else was pure Genius
lolly, east kilbride,
I totally disagree about Sex and the City. It's not possible to comment on the transition from television to cinema without asking fans of the television show who have followed the characters through. I am a huge fan, and thought the movie was excellent, containing everything I was hoping for.
Libby, Nottingham,
This list got a little discredit with me having movies like "the strangers" and "meet the spartans" which aren't the best ones but are far to be the worse ones, specially in a list that doesn't include the WORSE EVER - "the happening". Also, most of the comentaries didn't convince me.
Alan Andrioni, Belo Horizonte, Brazil
Burn after reading is the worst film i have ever seen! Poor Brad, porr clooney... such a good actors in such a illogical film!
Mariana, Curitiba,
It would be very odd Colombians talking to American or English accent, does not agree?
And the movie is not boring, is intense, without pyrotechnics.
Rebecca Fontes, Fortaleza, Brazil
I just have one thing to say, I lost more time reading that than seeing some of this movies, that's a lot of unfair things writin' in here, I hope a lot of people don't pay atention in this and go see a lot of this movies and take their own conclusions.
Rafa, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil
Gerald from Essex, I agree! Burn After Reading was awful! It was painful to sit through, the writing was slow and the handful of moments that were designed to be considered "funny" by the critics - they only mustered a mediocre chuckle. This film is in the top 10 worst films for sure!
Nat, Sao Paulo, Brazil
Did your critics not see Burn After Reading? Sheesh!
Gerald, London, Essex
Get smart is such a fun movie! It shoudn't be on that list!
And I wonder where is Quantum of Solace? Terrible movie.
Fábio, São Paulo, Brazil
How is the Adam Sandler "vehicle" Don't Mess with the Zohan not on here? One of the only times ever in my life I did not laugh once in two hours.
Mike, Pittsburgh,
The end of '27 Dresses' is a bit uncomfortable. Not sure why the trait of helping others is portrayed as a bad idea. But overall it's a good movie. There's a lot going on -- character development, interesting storylines and some genuinely bad things happen. Rare for Hollywood.
Christian, Washington, DC,
Wondering why this is illustrated with a still from Enchanted which isn't on the list and was quite sweet really.
And yes, where is Indiana Jones?
Kerenne, London, UK
27 Dresses shouldn't be on this list. It's typical of critics that they always have to try to be intellectually witty and pro-feminist and act like they are speaking for all women. This was a good film, with a good storyline, and well acted by all involved. Worth it for the Benny & The jets scene.
Vicki, Newport, UK
Indian Jones was the worst film of the year, the bit where the kid gets a load of monkeys to help in the ludicrous jungle car chase just topped it for me. It was hilariously bad and then just got worse.
Really suprised that film didn't make the list. Who makes this list?
Sabre, London,
Star Wars : The Clone Wars was really poor, a pointless way to spend 90 minutes of life.
Nik Bartlett, Chippenham, UK
Has anybody seen 'what just happened'? - it's a question I asked myself when I left the cinema, what DID just happen?
Laura, London,
A lot of moview that really deserve to be in there but Body of Lies and Street Kings were both top 100 in my opinion. Also I never saw Rock'n'rolla in there?
df, edinburgh,
taken was a great revenge film, maybe not one for the girls, but really entertaining. i think the critics in the times have a lot to answer for with lists like this - some are correct but many are way off the mark. Gommorah should have been at number one, i felt like ending it all in the cinema.
alex, bristol,
Filmmakers! Cater for grown-ups!
So in 2008 I've bought box sets of Black Books, dinnerladies, Early Doors, Noel Coward, Land of Promise, Helen Mirren, Judi Dench, Hitchcock, Bogart, Film Noir. My film highlights Gomorrah, Changeling, Hunger, and D Day Lewis in early 2008.
Got the message?
Pete, London, United Kingdom
The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull highlights Spielberg's increasingly worrying obsession with all things extra terrestrial. Although I have to say the imploding ruin at the climax was well stolen from the closing scenes of 'The Mummy Returns'. (2001) How did this Indy train-wreck NOT make the list?!
Peter, Merseyside,
Hear hear. "Indiana Jones and the Waste of my $20" was the worst movie of 2008. I can't BELIEVE critics liked it. It didn't even make sense, and brought overly-long chase scenes to a new low - running (sometimes unsuccessfully, for the bad guys) from ANTS - are you SERIOUS HOLLYWOOD!?
Walter, Atlanta, USA
Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull was the worst film I have seen this year by a mile.
Jim, London,
'Priceless' is of course a lot better if you watch it in the original French
George Eccles, Nice, France
I thought "The Bank Job" was great. "Bucket list " wasn't too bad. Where is "Australia" a film full of propoganda about Australia's treatment of Aborigines as seen by the 'Black Armband History " advocates of this country.
John Wood, Melborne, Australia
I agree that several (of the ones that I saw) were pretty bad, and therefore probably belong in the worst 100. However, I disagree that "The Bucket List" should have been be included. Maybe a person had to be over 70 to appreciate it - I am 83. Morgan Freeman deserved an Oscar.
John McLeod, Saskatoon, Canada
I agree with most of the 100 but I also agree with those who posted re: Indiana Jones. WHERE IS IT??? - Should definitely be in the top 10! and 'The Happening'??? Possibly one of the worst films ever made, let alone 2008.
CD, London, UK
I will have to agree with most of the list, but felt Dan in Real Life should have been a little closer to 100 than 50.
I echo the sentiments of so many others... where is Indiana Jones? The atomic-bombed-flying-refrigerator was the end of the franchise.
Kirsten, Fairbanks, AK, USA
All I can say is that Made of Honour actually made me feel physically ill. It should have definitely been number one, the main man was arrogant and self involved whilst the girl was a complete wash out.
Eleanor, Egham, UK
How is Indiana Jones not in this!?!?!
Ben, London,
I wonder how much of this list would be on the the "Top 100" movies of the year. I bet quite a lot.
Or is it that almost every movie is a turkey?
Tom, Beckenham,
this list is biased and introverted. I agree with some of the selections but they are not based on any criteria. obviously spoof movies don't go down well in the list and violence again doesn't help. Taken was good 4 weddings was rubbish
Derek, Dublin/London,
Insughtful (?) comments except for Street Kings & Love In Time Cholera which I found both to be worth the price of an admission ticket...
Gus, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Where is Rock 'n Rolla on this list? Truly abysmal.
Kate, London,
Surely there's a place for the Dark Knight? Dreadful script, confusing plot, bad acting, tedious whispering from Batman, too loud etc etc. Ledger was good but let's not pretend the film was anyway half decent.
will, London,
Ghost Town definitely does not deserve to be on this list.
Ed, Singapore,
Redbelt was a near masterpiece. Dan in Real Life was good and interesting. Pineapple Express was hilarious. Get Smart was at least entertaining. Teeth was good. Zach and Miri was quite good. Mistir Loenly and Choke were at least somewhat good.
Matt Roemer, Klamath Falls, USA
Who was it that said the Bucket List shouldn't be on here? What an appalling, abysmal, diabolical movie. It is sad and touching that I will never get the 90 minutes of my life back!
John, London, UK
It would be interesting to see the "best100" and thus, what you thought was good. If you thought, Body of Lies was worse than QofS, then well, maybe you should watch them both again and this time, dont tune out and then complain when you dont understand the ending of BofL. You have lost some respect
Edward, Oxford,
Most of the recommendations were probably fair. Some films I quite enjoyed such as Taken or the Mutant Chronicles, which admittedly are mental chewing gum but I didn't expect otherwise.
I suppose its justified if you expected to see a realistic film rather than some good ol'mindless action.
Dan, Cork, Ireland
I must say that for The Bucket List to be on here, someone isnt too good at reviews. That was a sad, and very touching movie.
Meagan, Connellsville, US
Suprised 'Quantum of Solace' wasn't number 1. Amazed and astounded it didn't make the top 100.
tim, seoul, korea
The review for #97 is amusing, given that if there's one group who really couldn't stand Wanted, it's the fans of the original comic who see the film as a watered-down, poorly scripted atrocity.
Neil, London, UK
Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull was definitely the worst film I've seen in a long, long time!
Roger, Arese, Italy
Damm, you could have put the 100 best movies of the former list!
Yann, Butry, France
What about "Semi pro" and Will Ferrell? It was a descent movie with some very funny moments : ) He's a great actor! He has part of Jim Carrey's craziness :D
Alex, Plovdiv, BG
Donkey Punch was laughable, Quantum of Solace was just disappointing, but both should be in there.
Tim, Sheffield,
Batman - the Dark Knight. What a load of tosh! It was comprised entirely of the middle of an average action movie stretched way beyond breaking point. No beginning or end. Pointless, lacking in dynamics - all momentum, no movement. It was only so huge because of Ledger's death. Waste of time.
Kim, London,
Ghost Town does not deserve to be in this list, and in fact should be in the best 100 films of the year. True, the trailer and clips shown in the media were all poor, but the film itself was very good.
Richard, London, UK
Who voted for these?
Some of these films such as 21, The Chaser and The Bank job were pretty good.
temi, london,
Mark Shepperson - how were you able to reach for the 'FFW button' when those films are only out in the cinema? I do hope you weren't watching a pirate copy... Can't be that many Mark Shepperson's in Chiang Mai after all...
James, London,
Ye where is the Indianna Jones film....that has to be in the top 10, there r no words to describe how bad it is!
Simon, Ashford,
Mr Lonely is a wonderful film. I have seldom found myself moved to tears by the sight of a grown man counting boiled eggs, but this indeed what happened in the final moments of this beautiful and very original film.
SH, Twitchen, Shropshire
My Blueberry Nights was stunning. Certainly not his best, but Wong has yet to make a bad film. I still don't understand the mass criticism it got.
Jack, Manchester, UK
I enjoyed The Bank Job, solid entertainment. Just seen Zack and Miri Make a Porno, and that should be right up there with the worst of them.
sedgwick, London, UK
For the most part this list is good, appart from two films which were very good actually. Firstly Body of Lies and Max Payne - both of which have been very popular here in Nottingham amongst the student population!
Sharky, Nottingham, UK
Unfair on "Easy Virtue" - If Colin Firth's role was underdeveloped that was easily outweighed by Kristen Scott-Thomas's unmissable basilisk. Good lightweight fun, with original use of music.
Neil Howlett, Frome, Somerset
Presumably somewhere, some people have produced quality watchable films. This lot seem to be well worth missing.
Michael Cawood, Wrexham, Wales, UK
I did at least see Rambo when I could finally find a cinema that was showing it. It wasn't really that bad but it was excessively violent. I remember the original one of the series First Blood which I have on DVD and that was a really good film.
Michael Cawood, Wrexham, Wales, UK
Have any of the paper's critics seen The Happening? This 'list' loses any credibility due to the film's absence here.
Mike, London,
I enjoyed Jumper, and Meeting Sarah Marshall was passable - pretty much everything else I'd agree with.
Ross, Ripon, UK
Michael, Well now you have met someone that didn't like Rambo! It was utter pants!!!!! Good list!
Jonathan, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Body of lies is in here?
The Bank Job was unrealistic - some good action.
Most of the films deserve to be here, and it is a pity hollywood did not read this and take the hint. While money keeps coming in, that will not happen.
Talese Amer, London,
There is no such thing as Bad Movie Movies ought to be rated based on IQ level of intended target audience Average population IQ = 100 Rambo=70, Incredible Hulk =75, Semi-Pro=65, etc. After all, every level of society needs entertainment.
Eric, San Fransico, CA, USA
Rambo was awesome, I have yet to meet someone who didn't like it!
michael, dublin,
