Watch out Anna Wintour, chaos is about to hit the fashion front row. After the success of Borat, Sacha Baron Cohen brings Bruno, his outrageous and outraging fashion designer, to the big screen.
Bruno is scheduled for a July 10 release and will star Baron Cohen, 37, as the faux Austrian fashionista he made famous in his Channel 4 TV series Da Ali G Show.
The gay catwalk groupie sucks in unsuspecting members of the fashion world, convincing them to wax lyrical about apparel until they embarrass themselves.
According to internet rumours, the film will feature a supposed "Redneck Rumble" in Arkansas where Baron Cohen (as Bruno) strips and kisses another male actor, an interview with former presidential candidate Ron Paul and footage of Bruno storming the Milan fashion week catwalk.
Baron Cohen's last film, whose full, inventive moniker was Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, made a splash in the winter of 2006, grossing more than £60 million for Twentieth Century Fox.
According to reports, negotiations were intense for the rights to Bruno, with Universal Pictures acquiring the worldwide rights to the film for $42.5 million dollars.
