Despite a dizzying labyrinth of clues, there's much fun to be had in the first series of this US legal TV drama (a second is promised for next year). Close has the time of her life with the role of Patty Hewes, the shark-like attorney who will stop at nothing to win her case. As her billionaire adversary, Danson turns his nice-guy image upside down with a venomous portrayal of corporate greed. A trail of dead bodies follows in their wake, and it's up to the tyro attorney Ellen Parsons (a surprisingly subdued Byrne) to navigate her way through the bloodied waters. The mind games will keep you going right up to the thirteenth episode, although the finale's frantic revelations don't quite add up.
