Parts equally offensive and entertaining, I wonder if the Farrelly Bros took some mescaline, wondered off into the wilderness and came back to write the perfect revenge fantasy.

If all relationships are thus blessed with hindsight and foresight we might as well throw in the towell. There's Something About Mary was fantastic; must have had something to do with Cameron Diaz .

Morally bankrupt but funny. I found myself enjoying this film a lot of the time but felt they lost the point towards the end. The film should have ended with Stiller's failure to resolve his relationship but the temptation to a happy ending drags the story on, and the then need for a twist means this oaf is seen once more dumping a wife for his prospective new love - with little chance that this relationship will work either based on what we have seen. This should have been explored more but isn't and leaves a sour taste for the credits rather than the belly laugh intended.
