Numbers in the grid do not relate to the clue numbers. Clues are given in the usual order but no bars should be entered during the answer-entering stage. Solvers must use bars to partition the grid, following gridlines, into two areas of the same size and shape. Some clues contain a misprint of one letter in their definition parts; the correct letters, in clue order, spell out a further condition applying to the collection of cells in each shape. Solvers should turn to the task of discovering the real title of the puzzle and the setter's pseudonym. This title and name, each consisting of one word, must be written in the box at the foot of the finished grid. Solvers who have found it helpful to cut up the grid must securely reassemble it for entry. Chambers Dictionary (2003) is the primary reference.
