Live Earth tickets are selling at inflated prices on eBay as the buzz surrounding tomorrow’s sold-out Wembley concert grows.

Tickets bought for £55 now have asking prices of as much as £225 while VIP tickets are being sold for up to £500 each.

But wily last-minute ticket-sellers will not pocket the full selling prices.

eBay is insisting 20 per cent of the sale price of each ticket is donated to charity, and is enforcing the policy through its charity fundraising platform.

The London concert, to be headlined by Madonna, is part of 24-hour-long, world-wide music event aimed at raising awareness of climate change.

Funds raised will go to the Alliance for Climate Protection, headed by former American Vice President Al Gore.

Genesis, Razorlight, Snow Patrol, Kasabian,Duran Duran, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Eyed Peas and Keane are among the acts performing at the London concert.

Wembley is the only sold-out concert, and while cities across the world, including New York, Tokyo and Johannesburg, will host events, time zones favour London as the concert to receive the most TV coverage.

Two billion people are expected to either attend concerts or watch televised coverage.
