The reconvening of Led Zeppelin for a November 26 concert at the O2 proved the worst-kept secret in rock despite the engagement of heavyweight PR company Outside to manage the announcement.
Rumours were already spreading last week when Robert Plant ambled to London’s City Hall where he agreed to sign a 10ft Gibson guitar to be auctioned for charity.
The press could take pictures but Plant would not be answering questions - even “shouldn’t Jimmy Page really be scrawling on the axe”?
Grasping the CD sleeve of his last solo album I joined what had become a gaggle of hardcore fans who had seized upon his appearance. “Is it true about Zep?” I asked, jostling for an autographed sleeve.
“Yes, in fact we’re getting together at 2pm this afternoon for our first rehearsal,” the singer helpfully volunteered. “It’s just a one-off show though.”
One fan induldged in speculation over the likely set-list with his idol after luring the rock god in with a discussion over Wolverhampton Wanderers’ promotion prospects.
Job done, Plant left to join the Zep, while the fan immediately relayed his encounter to NME.com, which had a story up within an hour. Perhaps non-disclosure agreements with fans will become the new rock star demand.

I don't know what you're talking about - the "unledded" concert with page and plant in morroco was fantastic. Maybe you have to be old and jaded to appreciate it - i was lucky enough to see them in Edmonton, Alberta in 1971 - just a kid and really didn't know what I was seeing or hearing.
They can both still totally rock...
monty, missoula,
come to Havana , Cuba ..... pls !! , they have a lot of fans here too !!
Octavio , Havana , CUBA
The Hammer of the Gods is preparing to deliver its first thunderous blow in 19 years? Now, this is news to stir the blood! I hope there'll be a concert DVD like the Cream reunion one - and I hope beyond hoping that they become so invigorated by this "one-off" that they change their minds and do a U.S. tour : I've just GOT TO see Zep before I give up the ghost!

I had tickets to see Zep at Madison Square Garden in NYC in 1980 when I was 12 years old !! Needless to say, with Bonhams death-- the show was cancelled...
I've been waiting to see them live ever since !!!!!!
Although with 25 million people registering online for tickets, I guess the odds are pretty slim...

The first Page/Plant was a disappointment, waiting almost all my life to see them and finally... well thats it huh? second time around was much better. Hey guys third times the charm, God knows we could all use a little new music too.
