The Spice Girls have pocketed £10 million each for their 17-night run at London's O2 Arena, it was claimed today.
The girl band played their final gig at the former Millennium Dome last night and their sell-out tour has now moved to Manchester.
All have insisted they did not get back together for the money.
But an O2 Centre source said the five - Emma Bunton, Mel B, Mel C, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham - have made £50 million between them.
That eclipses any other star who has performed at the venue.
"Barbra Streisand had high ticket prices but only did three nights while Prince did 21 nights but sold tickets for next to nothing.
"Not many groups can sell out 17 gigs at £75 a ticket, it's quite an achievement," the source told the Evening Standard.
Halliwell, aka Ginger Spice, recently claimed the comeback tour had nothing to do with money.
"The truth of the matter is, to put on this tour has cost £18.6 million," she said.
"We have done this purely to celebrate our fans, the music and ourselves. This is not a money-making expedition. It really isn't. Hopefully we will break even but it has never been about that."

All those who paid for tickets had an amazing night and loved every minute of it. Tickets were expensive but it was worth every penny and i couldn't care less how much they earned.

The spice girls are true entertainers. The gig was fantastic. If they made £50 million...good for them. Everyone who is having a go is only jealous as they probably couldn't afford the tickets or were one of those who failed to get their hands on them in the first place. I'm not a die hard fan. I was dragged along with the other half but I found the show motivational and inspirational. So everyone who didn't go...You really missed out. Unlucky.

There are 17,000 seats at the O2. At £75 a ticket that makes around a total take of £1.3m per concert or around £22m total revenue for 17 concerts. Assuming no profits for the venue, that makes around £4m per spice girl. Where has the other £6m come from?
Paul, london,
Te whole "girl power" propaganda and "sisterly love" vibe given out before and now by this lot was false but was eaten up by the press and young fans...............underneath that facade was group of bitcing girls who most of the ime didnt get on...........now thay want us to beleive that this reunion wasnt about the money!!!!.........if it wasnt then i'm Lord Lucan!
All those who paid for tickets have been duped again
Peter Grant, Swansea,
Hmmm... I'm torn between disgust at their obscene profiteering and admiration for their understanding of exactly how stupid their fans are. As someone who last week got to see the fabulous Morrissey play to a few hundred people for only about twenty quid, I recognise that I should be grateful for the type of person that will pay this much to watch a reformed girl-group, several facelifts and yo-yo diets past their shallow peak, while leaving the rest of us to go to concerts in small venues to see decent bands. Keep up the good work!
