WHO: SoKo

BAND MEMBERS: Female singer-songwriter under the name of Soko (birth name is Stephanie Sokolinski)

WHAT: Bordeaux-born Soko creates adorable songs on ukulele, piano and guitar with vocals that sound akin to a miffed 12- year-old girl. Her catchy blend of pop and acoustic folk is sure to go down a treat in time for the summer o’ love. Think 'Juno'-clever/cute, and you are there.

WE SAY: There is such abundance in Soko’s work for those warm, fuzzy feelings that make us human, coupled nagging-self doubt, envy and general crapness, that make us even more human, it’s impossible not to love the woman. We defy the pay off to this song not to bring a smile to anyone's face - a clue, she's not pregnant. She may just have eaten too many beans.

IF YOU ONLY NEED TO KNOW ONE THING: Whilst managing to see her live in December, she insisted on calling to the stage a toddler to accompany her on this track. Sadly the poor mite just stood mortified as if Christmas has just been-cancelled. Ok, and one more fact. She is also a top actress in her home country, unsurprising as she is the spit of Marion 'conspiracy theory' Cotillard.
