WHAT: Mensa-level beats.

WE SAY: whimsical and gently beautiful – it’s not often you could say that about dance music. Spewing from an exceptional and over-activebrain that could easily solve the fuel and cash crises in an afternoon, this is one of the year’s hidden treats.

Aided by an undercurrent of electro beats that’s strangely complemented by brass embellishments, the subtly theatrical melody slowly swells up into a magical, yet weirdly grandiose chorus – one that Spank Rock’s XXXchange has cannily built his storming acid disco remix around.

Informed by Daedelus’ love of arcane and obscure musical practices, but brought up to date by his love of modern dance music, Daedelus is an intriguing fella. This is like some bizarro steampunk artefact.

IF I ONLY KNOW ONE THING: Dadeleus is all about the Barack. He recently produced Taz Arnold’s ‘Vote Obama’, which is currently doing the YouTube rounds.
