Hip-hop artist Dizzee Rascal has debuted at the top of the singles charts with his song Dance Wiv Me.

The East Londoner dethroned American R'n'B singer Ne-Yo's Closer to score his first ever No. 1 track.

Featuring producers Calvin Harris and Chrome, the single was released exclusively for internet downloads on June 30.

There was little movement elsewhere on the chart, though Ironik's Stay With Me leapt five spots to No. 6. Swedish DJ Basshunter's All I Ever Wanted was another new entry at No. 3.

Coldplay, meanwhile, held the No. 1 spot in the albums chart for the fourth straight week with Viva La Vida Or Death and All His Friends.

The band's second single from the album, Viva La Vida, dropped from No. 1 to number No. 5, however, after being knocked out of the No. 1 spot last week by Ne-Yo.

Elsewhere on the album chart, Amy Winehouse's Back to Black: The Deluxe Edition moved six spots to No. 7, the Ting Tings' We Started Nothing moved from eleven to six and Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad shot into the top ten, moving six spots to settle at No. 9.

Seth Lakeman's Poor Man's Heaven was the only new top ten entry in the albums chart, debuting at No. 8.
