WE SAY: Veronica's Veil is a multi-layered gem of a track. The first hook riff wouldn't sound out of place in Saturday Night Fever or a Jackson Five song, and it gloriously whirls you into a world that is one big multicoloured, spangly, shape-throwing dance floor. Why, is that the sound of disco we hear? It sure is, but this isn't disco as we know it for this cool track has a 1980s vibe to it, too.

While the dramatic violin strings remain, the core of this song is a heavy, synthtastic bleepfest of a monster. The result is a melodic mix of laid-back grooves and upbeat, hip-swaying brilliance. Fan Death sound like they know how to party as exuberantly as CSS, and the vocals are like Lovefoxx on a rare chilled-out day.

This track is already a big hit on the internet and its release should see that critical acclaim keep on growing. And what better time for a bit of bang-up-to-date disco than the party-shoes season that is just around the corner?

IF YOU ONLY NEED TO KNOW ONE THING: Fan Death are signed to Erol Alkan's label, Phantasy, and he's done a stonking remix of Veronica's Veil that is sure to see this song be a hit with club kids too. His 1990s take on the track makes it a version that encapsulates some of the best dance sounds of the last few decades.
