The Feeling: Join With Us
It is only 18 months since the Feeling released Twelve Stops and Home, making this almost a rush job in this era of studio procrastination. Band linchpin Dan Gillespie-Sells has been stockpiling or can simply churn it out - either way, he is a pop genius on an AOR par with ELO's Jeff Lynne.
Any band would murder for this number of viciously bouncy hooks, from grandstanding pomp (the title track) to winsome ballad (Without You) and chintzy pop (Turn it Up), with panting harmonies, guitar zip and rinky-dink piano by the yard. Sussex's fabulous amalgam of Racey and Queen march on - imperious.
