Pete Paphides goes to the home of vocalist Joe Goddard and discusses band arguments, the problems at EMI and Hot Chip's new album Made In The Dark.

"We’ll have this silent anger with each other. It’s mostly about decisions that we make when we’re learning the songs and when we’re deciding how they should be. One person thinks it should be a banging techno number and another person thinks it should be much more gentle. Somewhere in the middle we find some middle ground and normally it works out. So we have moments when we hate each other."

"We’re scabs. Apparently we’re a kind of priority for the label because no-one else is handing in albums. It’s a strange time."
