For the past 8 weeks I have been undergoing tests and I am waiting for a decision by my Surgeon as to which path I will be taking having been diagnosed a second time in my life with cancer. Getting very little sleep (due mainly to worry I suppose), I transferred 3 of your CDs onto my new IPOD. Just listening to you has provided great comfort, and I can only hope that every person who is thinking of you during this rough patch is providing you with the same comfort. Hello Russell, I have never had the pleasure of seeing you in person or even on TV. I had my daughter set her VCR up to record your performance at the NFL football game and she called me and said it was someone else that sang the anthem. I am just so pleased to hear that Russell will be making a recovery. I have never met him but love his voice, he has been in my thoughts since this happened which is so sad for this second time, and I have prayed for him to pull through.
It will be a shame if he cannot sing again, but I think this is a relatively small price to pay as it has turned out. All that matters is he is here for his little girls.
Right now, all I can say to him is to hang on in there, there are so many people genuinely wishing him better.
I always liked Russell since I watched a TV chat show with him on, he has the most cheeky smile and twinkling eyes, a truly nice guy and there arent many of them around, and its plain to see.
Just get better Russell, take it a day at a time, you are over the worst of it believe it or not.
