After drama, delays and early departures, the first Big Brother viewer-voted eviction is set to take place on Friday.
New housemates Gerry Stergiopoulos and Seany O’Kane have been given responsibility for the next departure.
The pair, who entered the Big Brother house on Friday, have been asked to nominate two housemates for eviction.
They were allowed to choose two further housemates to help them nominate and picked 18-year-old twins Sam and Amanda Marchant.
Stergiopoulos and O'Kane interviewed each housemate and asked why they thought they deserved the right to nominate.
Amanda said: "I think throughout this week everyone's had arguments. About real petty stuff. I think me and Sam... we wouldn't hold a grudge about anyone. We haven't had an argument with anyone. We've seen everything that's gone on. If you wanted fair results, I'd be good."
Two contestants have already left the Channel 4 show in the two weeks since the reality programme launched.
Amidst a storm of publicity, Emily Parr, 19, was removed from the Big Brother house last week after using a racially offensive word.
Up for eviction along with Shabnam Paryani, her departure caused Channel 4 to cancel the first planned eviction and refund the cost of voter’s texts.
After endless complaints and threats to leave, Lesley Brian, 60, walked out on the weekend, saying she had issues with hygiene, meals and sleep.
The recent arrivals and departures at the Big Brother house have altered bookie odds on who will win the show’s eighth series.
Ladbrokes has Tracey Barnard as the favourite to win, with 6-1 odds, but new arrival Stergiopoulos is now in second place, with 7-1 odds.
The 31-year-old spent nine years at university studying history and classical archaeology and sees Big Brother as a "living specimen installation".
While the betting public have already warmed to him, Stergiopoulos may struggle to get along with the other housemates. Before entering the house, he said he found "uneducated, common people" offensive.
His housemates include an unemployed 21-year-old, a former boy band member, a temp receptionist and a cleaner. Whether they live up to the Greek-born Londoner’s standards remain to be seen.
The other new arrival has not done as well in the popularity stakes. O'Kane is now the third least favourite to win behind self-proclaimed It girl Charley Uchea and the fame-hungry Shabnam Paryani.
