2 for 1 tickets to Singin' In The Rain, this coming Monday. Book now

One of the finalists in the X Factor television talent show has been forced to quit after she was caught on video assaulting another girl.
Emily Nakanda, 15, is seen grabbing the girl's hair and throwing her to the ground before punching and kicking her.
The contestant withdrew from the show today after producers were alerted to the video by a national newspaper. A spokeswoman said that Emily had been dropped after stills of the footage was published in The Sun. Other footage of her threatening to gouge a boy's eyes out with a knife also emerged this week.
"In response to the stories in the papers this week regarding Emily Nakanda, we have conducted our own investigations into the matter and we can confirm that she has chosen to withdraw herself from the competition with immediate effect,” the spokeswoman said.
The latest footage, which was recorded on a mobile phone, shows Emily putting another girl, known only as Anna, in a headlock and pulling her hair. Emily tells Anna that she is going to rip out her hair and complains: "“If it rips out I’m gonna get blood on my clothes."
Sharon Osbourne, a judge on the show who acted as a mentor for Emily, said: “I am deeply saddened by this whole situation.”
Louis Friberg, Emily's mother, said that the family was “very disappointed” with her daughter’s behaviour. “As a family we are heartbroken and are very disappointed with Emily’s behaviour. We feel that there is no choice but to withdraw Emily from the competition. Emily and all the family sincerely apologise to both Anna, her school and all the fans that have supported Emily. Emily regrets her actions but there is no way, as a family, we can excuse her behaviour.
“Emily is very sorry to have let the show, Sharon and the viewers down.”
The girl has previously claimed to be in a gang and called herself “Lady Shiverz”.
She was criticised by the judges on Saturday for her performance of the Britney Spears song Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman. Simon Cowell, another judge in the contest, said that the poor performance put her position on the show in doubt.
Emily was due to be singing the Bjork hit It’s Oh So Quiet on Saturday’s show. Ladbrokes, which had placed her as second favourite to win the contest, said it would refund all bets on the teenager.
An X Factor spokeswoman said the competition would air as usual on Saturday.
i think emily was wrong for what she did but she on the uvva hand its abit out of order her gettin kiked out of x factor man!! she sounds really nice and soo what if she was in a gang. people can change and i believe she did, when she got into x factor! xx
Ana , Norwood, London
emily i dont understand her one minute shes a really nice, sweet girl who u want to win and the next shes a horrble spitefull bully,no one desereves to be bullied and abused.
i have no pity for emily and hope her chances of her dreams happening never cum true.
sassi, london, london
it was bad but she should not have been kicked off that was a bit OTT
gabby, manchester, england
that was a horrible thing what emily did she wouldnt of liked if someone had done that to her she needs changer her ways big time and sort out whats goin on in that head of hers. she got chucked out of the x factor and she deserved it big time.
Aaliyah, London, England
Emily is a stupid stupid girl!
One day she'll look aback and want to "happy" slap herself for ruining her career! All it took was one stupid mistake and her life is wasted now becayse everybody will remember her as the girl who happy slapped and got kicked off X factor! Oh well she has to live witht he shame!
Somebody should do it to her and see if she likes it!
Andi, Derby,
some times people do things , not becouse they want to.
have you ask what the girl done be emily to make her act that way..
i think people are using this as an xcuse to stop emily from being in the show . we all know she's a great singer even if don't vote for her because i dnt know her ,but i know and i think she should have won the xfoctor
hope she will be allow to come back that's if she wants to.
eve, england, uk
i think even though emily was caught on video and involved in `happy slapping` i think she still deserved a chance to win the x factor as people can change and you should never listen to what other people say and i think emily is a really nice girl if you think about it as she has never slagged off x factor like rydian has
kirsty, telford, united kingdom
Its sick and people shouldn't do things like that. People make the excuse that she only 14/15 but so am i and i would never think of doing something like that. It's horrible. Nobody should have to put up with happy slapping.
Hannah, bristol,
This will serve as a lesson to all teenage boys and girls who think they can always get away with everything, whatever you sow, you shall reap and what goes around must come back. Humans should should be treated as humans not animals, Emily.I hope you will not be rejected somewhere else cos you ve already destroyed your career. You never know how long a MISTAKE can go.
Michelle, London, Essex
Such a shame, she have been given a chance to redeem herself this will follow her every where she goes, people wonder why unemployment rates are so high because society never give people a chance. Everyone makes mistakes.
Sha, birmingham, united kingdom
Liked her in the first auditions, liked her at boot camp, cried with her when Sharon did the " you're in my final 3", liked her in the first 2 live shows (not the best singer but who cares!) ...then watched the 'happy slapping' video....was absolutely sickened by what I saw....and now, I loathe her. The producers should have brought Kimberley back onto the show to replace Emily, she was so much better. Emily, I hope that this will always stay with you and still haunt you when you're a grown up and are sending your own children to school, as a once bullied teenager and now a grown up with my own children, believe me, it does stay with you.
Annette, Leek, Staffs
think what emily done wasshocking and her family was 100% right in pulling her out of the show.happy slapping is a form of bullying and should NEVER be thought funny, because it's not.bullies are cowards and emily should be EXTREMELY ashamed of her self!!
Laura, Glasgow, Scotland
Emily was very talented on the X factor show and could have gone far in her singing career, it is disappointing that someone so shy and innocent looking can be so cruel. im glad that they have discovered the truth before she had won.if emily had been truthful from the beginning, someone else could have taken her place. she not only ruined her chances but someone elses chance of being on the show. BUT...
THE SHOW MUST GO ON.
RHIDIAN TO WIN!!!
Romana, Portsmouth, England
i liked emily in the contest i thought she was really good but i really dont like what she has done. first of all i would like 2 no why she did it and second that isent happy slapping as far as im conserened that is fighting and emily is a big bully!!
Lauren, middlesbrough, middlesbrough
Emily on the X factor stage live looks really innocent until that footage of her bullying Anna. I hope that Emily has learnt from her lesson and that she will still have a great successful future in her life ahead. Eventhough Emily did that cruel thing but she's still no. 1 star.
I forgive her and hopefully everyone else can too.
Good luck Emily and Anna and everyone involved for their future. I miss you Emily, really I do. xxx
Hannah, London, England
Emily was one of my favourite people in x factor and I'am didscusted of what she did and should be very sifeley punished for what she had done .Katie Brain
Katie , Doncater , lincoln
emily is a talented girl, and blew her chances at the X factor contract i hope she never gets her chance at being a star. she's disgusting to hurt another human being like that.
i feel very sorry for anna to go though all that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
mazy rooney, LONDON, ENGLAND
What goes around comes around Emily. What a disgusting human being.
Simone, London, England
i am glad emily has left the show after witnessing her disgusting bullying behaviour, she was my favourite contestant ... and my daughters ... untill we watched the "happy slapping" footage on sky news website, my daughter has been the victim of a bully in her 1st week of a new school, the bully is in her final year of this school, so i feel very strongly that the pathetic, weak minded people who inflict this ape like behaviour upon decent human beings should be made to feel as humiliated as their victims ... when you see them in the street point at them and scream bully, then let them be outcast.
cassandra brookes, evesham,
This makes me feel sick.
Firstly, how another human being, especially someone so young, could commit such an inhumane act upon another person.
With physical evidence such as this, i'm extremely annoyed she hasn't been given an ASBO, if not been charged with ABH!
i don't know when the videos are supposed to have taken place, but the whole storyline behind Emily on X Factor was that she nearly died of a disease recently and that "God was giving her another chance".....
....now this is my own personal opinion, but HOW DARE she act like that and try and draw sympathy from the public for her illness, after or even then committing such a grevious act upon somebody else!
Emily, you make me sick. I wish you no wrong, but i sorely hope that you are punished with legal action over the injustice that you have caused upon your peers and those persons you assaulted.
Rosie, lincoln,
SHAME ON you EMILY`S MUM! You are a disgrace, you should have known about all this b4 ur daughter got on N TV. You should have discussed about the pros and cons about going out in public, then u could have had advice! I bet u are a nervous wreck! U were not clever this time init? Everyone is accountable for their actions, so WHY you EMILY didnt you explain your actions to the nation so that we could look at u closesly?
Anyway I pray that u survive as a family.
babyhooch, rugby, uk
Being a teenager myself [albeit an older one than Emily] I'd just like to say that the behaviour she displayed is not what happens nowaday when girls don't get on. The excuse of being a teenager is in no way acceptable. It's peopole such as Emily who gives us a bad name.
Don't worry - someone else from the 13-19 age range will be in the news next week.
Seriously, this is from one teenager to another: act your age. We're not kids any more.
Unhappy Teen, Yorkshire,
Why is nobody saying it was a racist attack? Surely they would had it been Anna attacking Emily?????
Bob, Manchester,
I think it was totally the right decision for her to withdraw - just what are the police doing about it? - assault charges should be brought by the girls parents. just because she is in the public eye, she should not be allowed to get away with it.
wendy, birmingham, england
i can't believe emily's gone. i thought she was soo sweet but obviously not. i thought she was good although some of her performances let her down. but i do think it was the right decision to kick her out of the x factor after what she did .
same difference or nikki to win! woohoo.
x..sm..x, london, england
She did make a mistake and a pretty huge one it turned out to be. In the adult world we have to live with the consequences of our actions and this for Emily is a consequence of some quite disgusting actions. She will have no choice but to learn from what she has done.
L Farruggio, Shropshire, England
to be honest, everyone here is just looking for someone to blame, and to slag off. really, grow up. she's a young girl and she made a mistake - she'll regret this for the rest of her life: surely thats enough?
also, THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS NOWADAYS, maybe everyone here can get with the times and realise that teenage girls don't always get on.. ok?
tiffaney , hale., UK.
im glad she was taken out of the show she deserved it (the silly girl)
annabel, mk,
Gosh i hope Kelly from Swindon is a teenager. Congratulating someone on their talent is one thing, but telling her she had no need to quit is crazy and stupid. She is an embarassment to the black community.
charisse, dubai,
I think Emily was stupid. I bet there was no reason to assult that girl.
Many of us would LOVE to be in her position, and she wastes it by going and assulting someone. This should be taken as a serious matter, and i hope she tregrets it.
vix, york,
I thin Emily displayed horrendous behaviour and she made the right decision to withdraw, for she would have been kicked off anyway. Until these stories were published I was rather fond of Emily - she has indeed let Sharon, her school, her family, the viewers and everyone else down. She should be ashamed of herself and she obviously has problems if she does not realise that acting in this way will result in a punishment later on in life. Can you imagine watching the biggest bully around making progress like that?
Emily Nakanda's dream is over, and so is her ordinary life.
Matt, Ashford, England
There are two things that you can do when the going gets tough. Its either you leg it or stay. I mean if she was not as guilty as been in the video an all those comments, she might have maybe put an effort to apologes on national TV since she was already there anyway. The family didnt do her any favours. I think the fear in brits of bein cursed is the reason for all this. Thank goodness I am a monkey and live in the mountains, so nobody bothers about me.
babyhooch, rugby, uk
Although I dont think what emily did was right, I can say Ive been in this situation before.....I was bullied all through high school by one girl and when I was 18 I finally caught up with her and for anyone that was watching..it did look like the fight with emily and "anna"...I dont regret anything I did to my "Bully"...infact i'd do it again...she ruined my life..I ruined hers.."an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth", we cant condemn the little girl for what she done..we dont know the full story...and sometimes life on the streets for us teenagers is hard..im not going to lie....but even though im only 18..I still think its up to the parrents to install some disicipline into their kids and keep them off the streets..parents should be locked up for allowing their children to go off the rails.
charlotte, greenford,
shes a nasty piece of work and shouldnt have been put on the programme in the first place with dirty behaviour like that
sarah, Wolverhampton, england
ok what she did was wrong and totally un acceptable but you people don't know about her life and what sheâs going through Iâm the same age as here and i know how it is on the streets your just saw these videos but I bet that the girl she did it to did something worse to her young people make mistakeâs its not like all you adults are perfect maybe not a big mistake like this but a mistake and about her calling herself Lady Shiverz Thatâs just a tread now all young kids have tag names or as you call it nick names for there my spaceâs and so on so that people don't know there really names you really need to sit and think about this who knows maybe your kids are doing the same thing don't judge someone you don't know form what you've herd or seen cos you don't know her personality
Unknown
M.Unknow, Lopndon, England
I agree with Matt. "Everything has a price. And for this spiteful action, this has been Emily's price"
Anne, belfast,
Sorry but in repsonse to Sam Parsons comment, are you serious?
How could it be the publics fault, happy slapping is not acceptable and people have every right to have had a negative attitude towards Emily because of it.
Evelyn, London, England
I went to school with Nikitta from last years X Factor and she seriously assaulted many people and was never caught out and forced to withdraw. One time she broke a girl's nose, ribs and jaw by kicking and punching her. Now she's in the Christmas pantomine as Cinderella. She should be in jail, not on a stage begging for pity votes.
Katherine, Glasgow,
I can't believe that she did that, I thought she was a sweet girl but now it's all been uncovered. After everything she had been through with her near death experience, i didn't think she would be the kind of person to bully. Bullying is wrong and I can't believe she thought she could get Away with it.
Sophie, London, England
i think the show was correct for kicking her out, it is disgaceful behaviour. things like this will hopefuly make everyone else like Emily realise that behaviour like this will not be tolarated
emma, lincoln,
to be honest, i think that Emily wasnt very good. She was ok but i totally agree with all the negative comments she recieved. I think that the loss of her performing wont be much to show. And i cant belive that Futreproof have gone! They wer better than Hope! Simon only like the kisses he got!
Eleni, London, England
It was a bad thing she did but everyone makes mistakes!
This could of been her chance to turn her life around!!!!!
Think about the anger she is going to have now, wouldn't suprise me if she does something like that again if not worse! and its all the publics fault!!!!
Sam parsons, Hassocks, England
OH MY GOD! i was all for her to win, not now. I didnt ever think she had a side to her like this. I think i must be too naive and too trustworthy towards people how weird. She didnt seem into all gangs and stuff.
becky, brighton, england
i think she sould be arrestead with all that everdence, and if she had done that to my little girl i would have made sure that she would never ever be able to do that to anybody els again
she just a big bully and i hate bullys
graham, margate, kent
she shouldnt be on the show atall because of her behavior. she was good anall ! she should be more responsible and i lov x factor so its awful to see bad behavior like that. how stupid can yah get?!?!?! lol
charlotte, workington, england
the first time i saw Emily i thought she was a nice respectful teen but now when i saw the video and the new i was astonished about her behavior and now
i am happy that she is gone
aisha, illtown, london
In the night when the fire works go off i feele like she is nocking on the window!
Anna Morrison, Burslem, stock-on-trent
Every reason to quit. You are a total disgrace. It is wrongly named as "Happy slapping", there is nothing happy at all about assault. Remember what goes around , comes around. Perhaps this might be a lesson to all about how we contuct ourselves throughout the years.I somehow doubt it. But lets face it, was she really any good ? I think not.
spladge, Sunderland,
I am SO glad the truth was revealed. Emily deserves whatever pain comes to her because of this. She did something TERRIBLE. I've been bullied and it hurts alot, but I've never been bullied like that. (My hair being pulled etc.)
Emily is clearly a horrible person, she's a hypocrite (& very good at it) and she's selfish.
I always thought she seemed nice. I didn't like the way she used her silly pity story (almost dying and all that rubbish) as a way to get votes. Bt she seemed ok. Goes to show us that you really don't know anyone.
To those of you saying 'She's a teenager, so it's ok' I can't believe you! Really, LISTEN TO WHAT YOU'RE SAYING.
It's never ok to hurt anyone, no matter what they did to you, and no matter what age you are, it's never okay.
And to those of you saying 'That's normal in England, everyone does it'. Just because it's normal, that doesn't mean it's right. It means your giving in to peer pressure. Which is wrong. Just think about what yur saying please!
Emily G., Wicklow, Ireland
For A 15 Year Old Girl I Would Say Ur Dam Good At Singin But A Shame To Hear That U Quit I Really Wanted U To Win That Show U Was Doing Really Good And I Wanted To Hear U Sing Britney Spears .. And What You Did To That Girl Was Mean .. But There Was No Reason To Quit :o[
I Hope You Go Back On The Show At The Finish .. X
Kelly, Swindon, England
she's been a bully and i am glad she is out of the competition!
Marshall, Derby, England
I see Emily's mum had some comments on her daughter's behaviour.
i wonder what her father had to say?
Will, London,
she like the whole show is fake. it shows what britain has become my god what have we done?
joe, manchester, england
This has not been done to punish Emily for what she did - otherwise all the contestants would be thrown off as they'll all have done bad things in the past. Emily was thrown off because the incident is on video in the public domain, and Simon Cowell cannot successfully promote a star with that negative PR.
All the people writing below, calling Emily a horrible girl. Are you making this judgment on the basis of a one minute part of her life you have heard about out of context? Or based on the caricature of a gang girl that the press is portraying?
Basically, she's no better or worse a person than most others, the only difference is that The Sun managed to get it's grubby paws on a 'sensational' video.
Simon J, London,
shame on you emily!
i am utally dissapointed and discusted
how COULD you do such a thing?
no affence on tv you look such an angel, can't belive im saying this u no devil r u.
u have just ruined ur dreams like that.
i hope next time you'll think twise before u do sometin.
sarah, northwich, chester, england
I think it's very harsh to completely condemn this girl for what she has done. In no way do I condone it and I think it is just punishment for a stupid act BUT she is only fifteen and has her whole life ahead of her.
She made a mistake and she has paid for it quite spectacularly, that's enough. She will no doubt have learnt her lesson and her parents are dealing with it well.
It's a shame for both girls, but let's remember they are very young and if you can't make mistakes when your growing up then when can you?
Andy, Bristol, Britain
I am disappointed by the way Emily actied, if it had been the other way round and Ane had attacked Emilty, it would have regarded as a racial attack.
Julie Mannion, Warrington, Cheshire England
This is just another example of the terrible bullying our children must endure by these thugs could you tell me with photo evidence why the police are not involved?
If these sort of videos are shown to the public and the offender is known and no action taken what sort of message is this to the bullies what a laugh they will have
As a country we are to laid back with this sort of issue but we must realize the terrible effect it has on victims effects that sometimes stays into adulthood
She has paid to a certain extent for her cruel behavior by the loss of the chance of a lifetime Lets hope she will change and let the dark side of her disappear and allow the talented side to win
sandy, ABERTILLERY, gwent
It's such a shame that such a pretty talented girl like Emily had to be involed in this. Though I completeley agree with the X Factor producers and her parents to withdraw her, bullying is horrible and should not be tolerated under any circumstances. I personally feel very unhappy because I was rooting for Emily and had high hopes for her. Emily if you are reading this here's a lesson for you to think before you act.
Naomi, London , UK
i don't agree with people who say "oh, but we all do stupid things when we are young"
this isn't like slapping you're sister because she stole your boyfriend
she ASSAULTED this poor girl, and made sure it was FILMED because she thought it FUNNY and wanted to have a good laugh about it with her friends
that's inexcusable whatever your age
anna, 17, london,
Emily is a young girl who has learned a lesson in a harder way than most people ever do. Her actions were disgraceful and the consequences are appropriate. But, at fifteen she has time to grow up into a decent person. This opportunity happened too soon in her life. we all know the expression "kids can be nasty". She's a stupid kid. She needed to develop first. Anyone who denies ever doing something dreadful or stupid as a teenager is either dishonest or forgetful.
She's had her wrist severely slapped now and we should forget about her and let her decide if she's learned anything from this.
I wish her luck on what's going to be a difficult journey.
Steffan Lewis, Derbyshire, UK
i think its pathetic, im her age, if i was doing something as big as x factor and i was in the finals i wouldnt go and do something as stupid as that!
al, essex, england
Nobody should be behaving like that, X Factor or not, surely?!
HR, Solihull,
I couldnt believe what i heard when i looked on the news with my mam, I thought Emily was such a nice girl but it has turned out that she isnt. I am so shocked about Emily's behaviour. Ellen Carey aged 10 from Jarrow!!!
Ellen , Jarrow, United Kindgom
Let this be a lesson for all bullies etc....when opportunities present let the rug be pulled from their feet. HA HA HA.
Michael Allen, London,
I think its terrible that kids still think its funny to do such a thing to innocent people, but is she being punished for it enough? cause i don't think so, nobody like her deserves to be in x-factor and definetly not on tv it just makes kids think they can get away with more. Im discusted by the lot of it.Im glad shes gone.
Sammi, Lincolnshire, England
Good im glad shes gone, were trying to get rid of behaviour like that in Britain and that girl comes on thinking shes big, and better than everyone, this just brought her back to the level everyone of the people she has bullied has felt like I hope she feals miserable, for along time in till she realises what she did. She should be dragged through the mud and be made an example of
Alex, arbroath, Britain
She wasn't a good singer anyway. I'm glad she was exposed to be honest.
Nick, Birmingham,
zena in london. i am sick and tired of people pulling the racism card.
'i do not think emily should have lefted because what she has done in the past shouldnt hold her back from living her dream.
your tellin me all pop star havent done something wrong in the past. i see it as its a black person trying to may it in life, but people always want to hold them back!'
it is pathetic to think that. if it was a white person the judges would have acted in exactly the same way. so because she's black her behaviour should be ignored? what else? a pat on the head for poor emily. she's lucky she hasn't had charges brought against her, but then i suppose that would be REALLY racist now wouldn't it. punishing someone for a crime they committed. get a grip. she got kicked off because they can't publicly condone that sort of behaviour regardless of age sex weight race height ANYTHING. nobody forced her to attack that girl. she has got to live with the consequences of her actions.
Hayley, Winchester, UK
So she`s told people that she`s a gang member. young "lady shivers". I`ve seen young men trying real hard [ pathetically so ] to be taken for "gangstas".[they`re just regular guys from the suburbs] It`s their own popular culture that holds these young people back.I know. I was young once. Look ,we`ve got gangland, gangsta rap,now D. Washington playing "American Gangster", Thousands of songs, films, videos, and tv shows glorifying criminals and the things they do. The media likes to say that they only "reflect "their target audience. They know better than that. Don`t support it. Don`t be a victim. . Tom S.
tom s., Austin, texas
Lady Shiverz must be really freezing now with being left out in the cold. Her gang must be scared and her victims so pleased.
Abi, Cheshire,
It is very sad indeed, there is no excuse for the barbaric behaviour. There is always a price to pay for every evil deed that we do. The other sad thing is that not only her is affected, but a lot of people. Firstly her family, her friends, the school, the XFactor and the people that had faith in her. This had ripple effects.
Andrew Mthembu, Port Talbot Wales, United Kingdom
I honestly feel for the victims of hers not Emily. I think police should involve & make a proper investigation on this & take her in to custody. After all law should be equal to everyone.
N. Fellows, Birmigham, west midds
May from Kent says that Emily has "lost her chance to turn things around." You don't turn your life around by becoming famous and rich. You turn your life around by realising that you have been a nasty person and have caused hurt. You turn your life around by then regretting those actions and never repeating them. Everyone does make mistakes but maybe this will be a good message to some people that you can't do whatever you feel like doing without sometimes severe consequences.
Everything has a price. And for this spiteful action, this has been Emily's price.
Matt, London, UK
What person these days in an angel. it was proberly down to the fact of trying to look big infront of her friends like every teenager tries to do whether its wright or wron. Sorry for Anna but she has proberly done things she regrets to. Everyone likes to think they could get the chance to turn themselvs around, this may have been Emily's chance, i guess she will never know if she could have made it right. We all think we are nice people but everyone makes mistakes. Now emily's lost her chance to turn things around.
May, Kent, England
Emily must be feeling really bad...however, the feeling would have been much worse if she had lost the final...which was going to be the case due to her singing ability...so she shouldn't be really feeling too bad...only bad for the bullying of others, not bad because she could have won.
binny, york, uk
I've noticed some of you defending Emily on here, what I say to you is, if it was your son or daughter, who she'd beaten like that, would you be saying the same thing?
The winner of the x-factor is a role-model to singers everywhere who watch the show. Why would we want someone like her being a role-model to our children?
I'm glad she's gone.
Katie, Liverpool, England,
i just watched the happy slapping video and that was well out of order if i was a judge ill have her put in jail and see how she likes it. she was such a good singer and you wouldnt expect that
most of all i feel sorry for sharon osbourne she belived in her and done everything for her
emily if your reading this you should be sooooo ashamed i believed in you and now i think your a waste of time like everyother person who does that kind of things
angel, north,
Quite right. She's no roll model if that's the way she behaves!
Vicki, Dundee, Scotland
So she should be off the show,
It shouldnt have even been for her to choose, she should have been thrown straight off!
What disgusting behavior, for such a young girl.
I hope she has learnt her lesson.
lisa, surrey,
I think this just goes to show things aren't always as they seem. Its really bad what she did but everyone makes mistakes.
You wouldn't have thought she would do that after her really bad illness - she must be feelin REALY bad right now and she gonna have that with her for the rest of her life and i dont think anyone deserves that...
I don't know the whole story, but i think she should be forgiven even though she did terrible things . x
Millie H, London, England
Proof again that your past will come to haunt you,
It is good that she left as we don't want yet another bad role model for young girls in the media.
Emily you only have yourself to blame, You have disgraced yourself and your family, consider it Karma
j Isherwood, Manchester, Lancs
i cant believe some people are saying this is acceptable "shes just a teenager" or "it was a mistake" it clearly wasn't a mistake she knew what she was doing and its sending out a bad message to all teenagers. its disgusting and im glad itv have pulled her from the x factor why should we glamourise bullys or bullying. well done itv you made the right descision!
emily, exeter,
SOMA, are you slightly simple? The girl attacked someone, threatened to rip out her hair, and had a friend film it. Are you suggesting that can be justified in any way? And Emily's family have reacted in the only way that they could - given that they've raised such a "quality" daughter, I would hope they're hiding themselves in shame.
Jo Price, Birmingham,
i think it sad she has gone, she was fit. yh she did have a fight but dnt every1 these days its so commen but hey shes gone gd luck to the others
ashley, gloucester, uk
disgusting that she was allowed to 'withdraw', she should have been kicked out in disgrace... same as the last one being forced out because she had a criminal record or whatever.
james, norwich, norfolk
omg I cant believe that who seemed like such a nice girl could do such a thing!!! She looked so sweet and innosent on .t.v. im just shocked.First Cici left and now her!! Mind you, i dont think she was a very good singer she needed a few singing lessons
Laura Bogojevic, Harborne, Birmingham
That's ridiculous. I've seen the video of her apparently threatening to gouge the boy's eyes out and it's clearly a joke as even the 'victim' is trying not to giggle. Seeing as she was one of the favourites to win people should leave her alone as she's already suffered enough. Now that she's gone I'm gunna have to back Nikki to win!
Emily, Oxford,
Just because someone has a sob story doesn't mean they're innocent or can get away with this sort of behaviour. I'm 15 and lost my dad in a horrific crash almost 4 years ago this Christmas. Yet do you see me walking around and knocking three shades of whatever out of another girl? I don't think so. This story just goes to show how gullable our country is. 2nd favourite to win? Haha. She was getting votes purely for her 'innocence' and the fact that she was the youngest. If you want a good voice then go and listen to some of the underground artists. Shows like the X-Factor give us the chance to see talent. Sadly it only helps everyday people such as ourselves talk about something we have no idea of. People will say anyone has a nice voice as long as they're likeable.
Megan, Leicester,
i do not think emily should have lefted because what she has done in the past shouldnt hold her back from living her dream.
your tellin me all pop star havent done something wrong in the past. i see it as its a black person trying to may it in life, but people always want to hold them back!
zena, derby, england
That is just so disappointing you'd think when you've got a second chance in life you would make the most of it and not act in such a disrespectful manner.
Rachel, Huddersfield,
thta is no reason to get the girl out its a singing competition not show how fiesty a person can be at school... everyone has had their fighting in school moments how know mayb she was being bullied..
i love her..she is young naive and finding out who she is yeah.... its singing why do we have to get all political about it..bulling is bad but m sure she regrets it .. that as probably ages ago ..
biggest fan
moto, london,
i'm not saying emily's behaviour is ok, but she is only 15, and you never know the whole story. what if the victim had done something to emily first? emily is young and a lot of teenage girls get into fight. a couple of my friends have, but it doesnt make them bad people. remember, theres always a reason.
helena, manchester, uk
Some rich singers such as rap/hip-hop star were previously gangsta's themselves. Thats always been the case, should they all be investagated?
crazy-T, brixton, uk
i reali cant belivie that :O ! you wouldnt of thought some one like her would of done such a bad thing like that . she died and came back alive again, and you think she was a nice girl ..to see what shes done now..its best she went out the compitition because people like her dont belong in this world :(
hOLLii3 x, eSSEX ! X, eNGLAND
you would think after being so ill she would appreciate life and not be threatening it.and to look at her u would think butter wouldnt melt in her mouth.just goes to show
joyce dee, tipperary, ireland
Self-centered, violent, and out of control...?
Yup... Got all the makings of a pop celebrity right there... SIGN 'ER UP!
kiss teeth, Chelsea, UK
I bet my house no criminal charges will be brought against her though...
Paul, Bath,
chuck her in the slammer for a few months. someone needs to be made an example of over the consequences of 'happy slapping' and she's in the public eye so the message would ring loud and clear.
Sarah, Stevenage, England
Ian Carstairs, Bedford, and his anti English rant.
What a stupid generalisation Ian. I presume you are a Scot? I live in Perth and believe me the violence perpetrated by SCOTTISH teenagers against one a nother in this city is out of control.
Phil hannah, Perth, Scotland
Well what goes around comes around. Karma does work quickly these day's doesn't it.
Good riddance. There are a lot of youngsters out there who are genuinely talented and do fantastic things for the community; let's see these real role models on the screen.
Paul Moxon, Birmingham,
There are always two side to every story. I think we all should lay off Emily since we do not know the reason for such behaviour. There are no excuses for her behaviour but, people can provoke you to the extreme where they they can turn a kind innocent person into a beast. I do object to violence because when it apears to do good, its temporary, the evil it does is permanent. Calling her a bully is labelling her. For someone to take this to the press says it all. Where does it stem from? What are the values of the adults in this country? And how do they pass on standards, morals and values to their kids? Why is the country so didvided? Who is causing the segregation? If someone is on the recieving end of a physical violence or abuse the public is automatically on their side. Why do we have to be so narrow minded? From how Emily's family have responded quality prevails. To all of you out here be the change you want to see. A man is the product of his thoughts, what he thinks he becomes.
SOMA, London, uk
I think that what Emily did sets a bad example to other people of her age. I'm 15 and it also makes some other people think badly of our whole generation.
I agree that bullying is disgusting but there are all sorts of other factors such as peer pressure. However, she must have known what she was doing was wrong.
I also agree that the media are probably making things seem worse than they are.
It's a shame that Emily has had her future taken away from her but at least now she'll be able to focus on her exams instead.
Ashleigh, Norwich,
She always struck me as very strange and cold looking, and not a very happy person. I could never see her as a success as a performer, except maybe as an actress playing a character more in keeping with her own. But in music - no way!
Mick Flood, Liverpool, UK
i cant believe that she would do that, she seemed like such an innocent girl! she wasn't a very good singer anyway! poor sharon only Alesha left!
Alicia Sinclair, Neston, Wirral,
we watch manufacured and emotive audition clips -it's "good tv". We know from Big Brother..it's all in the edit, play it up or tone it down. But the attitudes and actions still speak for themselves. Anyone who puts themselves in the spotlight has to take consequences good or bad. Fame..as the saying goes...costs. would anyone want to represent someone STARTING OUT with a "risky" background. It depends on the issue. Urban may say violence is part of the scene, even encouraged it. But there is a backlash - even witnessed just this week on the MTV awards! There is no "cool factor" in teen bullying and X factor is about selling mass market commercial records. it cannot hide something that becomes public and if unacceptable, excuse or rehab an unknown's past or encourage investment. True, the music industry itself is laden with what could be seen as anti social acceptablity, Rght or wrong -mistakes, bad behaviour and apologies are easier at top. But you have to get there first
lauren, N London, UK
Why are we having only one side? could the girl anna also tell us her story. People may be surprised!! I am not going to judge emily at this point, even though it is not a good sight.
Bullying is a very complicated thing.
Alice, london, uk
II hope she is prosecuted for the assault and given an appropriate sentence. It is not happy slapping, it is evidence of a vicious assault. The hosting site should close down all of the similar recordings, but money is money and seeing a defenceless 11 year old girl or boy (which are also on this site) being beaten til unconscious seems not to be their responsibillity.
Well done to the other Murdoch lead, the Sun, on whose website you can apparently access (their editorail) the whole video of "a vicious & unprovoked assault".
Watch this space - nothing will be done to her & nothing will be done to the website which draws of viewers & pounds from people watching child abuse.
David, london, london
What a waste, a seemingly sweet good natured girl with a good voice simply had to do that. How horrible. And her parents had no idea? what an outrage.
Ellie, my 11 year old daughter thinks that she is simply a big fat bully who has been shown in her true light, and whats more i agree.
Edith Parker, London, england
Personally, if i was the girl who got slapped id ensure Emily had a go in the final. Why? Because surely Emily will have an even bigger grudge on the poor girl now.
Sam, Dubai,
Jeff from Glasgow says, let her do what she wants, who really cares?
Does that include murder, Jeff?
Suzanne Ahern, Portsmouth, England
Yes, I think we all need a new TV personality who threatens to cut a boy's eyes out with a knife. Bless! English people perhaps don't see this as wrong -- but I think this is why the rest of the world is starting to see English people as.. hmm... "a bit of a problem"!
iain carstairs, bedford, uk
There was something strange about her, like she was'nt real, she was'nt the best singer in the compition anyway.
Sarah, Liverpool, England
i think its pathetic, im her age, if i was doing something as big as x factor and i was in the finals i wouldnt go and do something as stupid as that!
al, essex, england
My comment is for William from Warwick, I fully appreciate what you have to say but the area she lives in North Finchley, is safe and is not a part of London where trouble easily brews.
As a matter of fact its on of the better areas in the borough of barnet...
What her behaviour indicates is a lack of discipline and that could rear its ugly head in the public domain of the X-factor. She will learn from this- stop fighting on the streets and exploit your considerable talent. For her sake I hope this is only a temporary set back.
Kibui, London, UK
I loved her voice in the audition, and hoped she would show even more during the live shows, however she didn't... her singing became no longer as good when she came on the stage. But I always thought that there was something weird about her, only I never believed it could be something like that. She looked so incconent tough, and original, but apparantly and unfortunatelly, she is neither of these things. And I really wanted to see her sing well. I thought, maybe this week she'll do something extraordinary. Well, she did, but not on the stage.
Reggi, London, England
This is so sad and an indictment of our society. Young people are so frequently being drawn into violent acts nowadays. This is the second person to be pulled out this season due to anti social behaviour, remeber the girl who was gonna be in the group Hope, she got outed befor the show began. Maybe this will act as a warning to any other young people that want to be famous. We do not tolerate it !!!
olive, farnham,
She had myself and everyone fooled, came across so innocent. what a nasty bully. she has done the right thing and left the show but there is only one person to blame, and that is herself, because she had a good chance of winning that show.
Donna, Manchester, England
I am disgusted with her and the level of bullying that occurs in this country nowadays. Bullying seems to have got worse over the last fifteen years and our morales and cultural activities have also got worse. I wonder why??
Matt , gillingham, UK
I was pleased to hear that Emily's famly have not tried to make excuses for her and that they are just as disgusted with her behaviour as I am. It is her family I feel sorry for because after looking at the incident , there is no excusing her actions and I personally feel the police should be having a word with her, but the poor victim will probably be to scared of the gang to give a statement. I am glad she is no longer on x factor, I would not want to look at her now.
Joanne Davies, Chehire
Joanne Davies, Northwich, cheshire, England
Ivan, everyones made mistakes in the past, even you! Im sorry to see Emily leave and are many others too. I wish Emily and her family well and the best of luck for the future.
Leigh Hydes, Grimsby, Lincs.
At least now justice is done and she will have to live with it for the rest of her life. It is a terrible thing to say but how sweet would it be if her bullying backfired on her to a whole new extent, in that the whole country will know about how nasty she is! And maybe now the whole country will punish her in a way she could never dream of punishing that girl. True that we don't know the reasons why this was done but in any case it isn't acceptable or necessary. In any case it appears there was no provocation at all anyway!
Chris, Bradford, UK
Glad to see the back of her, one thing that gets my goat is cowards and bullies like her, glad it came out now. Lets hope she never gets a career in singing she deserves everything she gets. Hope she as not spoiled it for other genuine 15yr olds applying for X factor. Now who looks a fool.
norm, manchester,
it is discusting what she has done, also taking the place of another contestant. i feel bad for sharon!!
sar, meanchester, england
personally i fink that all this about Emily probably happened a long tym ago and all the press and tabloids are just doing this out of spite
also 'lady shiverz' is a nickname it don't really mean anything and if it did then it would mean how its written e.g lady shiverz meaning a girl thats cold n shivering just fink about it
and no she doesn't deserve this thats taking some1s future away which is a horrible
all you people that are saying she deserves it perhaps some1 should take your future away how would you feel?
lorna, London,
silly silly girl. Good job she's off she was so flat at singing. People dat voted 4 her should ave der money bk
bob, moneymore, ni
Ooh. Can we have Stephanie back then? The one who sang 'Ben'? I
graeme, folkestone, kent
Its just right that she had to leave the show. It will show other potential competitors that this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated by shows like the X Factor. Stupid stupid girl. A whole career down the tube. Bullies always lose in the end.
Amanda Green, Ballyclare, Northern Ireland
What a disgrace to the people of this country, especially the black folks who were rallying round her and supporting her. The bible says "vengeance is mine says the Lord, I will repay". Nothing goes unseen by God and everything shall and will be EXPOSED. How can such a young girl cause such trauma to innocent kids. Now that the whole world knows about it, I hope she feels proud of herself. LITTLE COWARD!!!!!SHAME ON YOU EMILY
Tony, Scotland, England
Emily are live proof Darwin theory!!!
Nightmare, London, UK
I have to laugh, every contestant on x factor and other similar programmes seem to think they need a sob story. We the public like the underdog and they play on that.
Leona was exactly the same with her little girl lost routine and then out came the nude photos, we are so gullable.
rena lyndsay, Liverpool,
I thought she was boring, but in a way had something so special and innocent about her. As a singer that finds the tough, music industry hard 2 break, im not all that saddened by her departure as I am also a person who encourages the young, black youth 2 lead positive lives. They say Its all karma, and I believe that. If you do bad it will only come back you.
Shanice, london, England
let her do what she wants... i mean, who really cares??
Jeff, Glasgow,
This is a show about musical talent but about showbiz too, unfortunately she has received negative press and she has had to go. People should not be fooled however, if people actually bothered to watch the tape they would only see a "girl fight" which is every day occurence in areas where Emily Nakanda lives. She only pulled the other girl's hair, if she was really that violent she would have punched her, kicked her, threatened her with a knife! There's always another side to a story too but you only got one of them. That girl was not just a random stranger passing by, for all that you know she could have been part of an other gang. You're either on on the beating or getting beaten side, and in such an environment you learn fast which one is better! For those parents who are shocked, you'll be even more shocked when she gets a record deal 'singing' about drugs/violence/gang and it will find itself on your kids' music players!
William , Warwick,
With behaviour like this she should not have been given the opportunity to leave the competition, she should have been forced to leave by the producers.
ciara, derry,
can i just say not all teenagers are like her. im a teenager and I dont go around acting like that, I wouldn't dream of it.
I voted for Emily, well I wish I hadn't wasted my money, She acted so innocent with her smile and charm, but really she was a mean, aggressive lady. Someone else could of had her place. she has
a)acted attrociously and now the whole nation knows
b) she has been selfish by depriving someone else of a place in the finals
c)let the whole show down and the viewers!
She has thrown away a great opportunity hopefully she'll learn.
Jack , Bedford,
full marks to Emily's family for their reactions to this news.
Margaret Nile, liverpool,
Am so happy that she pays for her horrible actions....what was she thinking....these things can never be forgotten...just hope she won't be prosecuted...but i have the feeling that it won't stop there....
luce, kent,
As a previous fan of Emily (and being the same age as her), I am horrified by her behaviour and the effect this will have on the worsening reputation of the teenagers of Britain. I just wanted to point out that however many teenagers hit the headlines by behaving in this way, the majority find it completely unforgivable.
Alexa, Norwich,
theres no way she was going to be 2nd place, i think she would have gone out on this weeks show for sure in my eyes she could not sing a note well not without messing it up
"bless her" my top 3 to win are nikki ,leon ,Rhydian. nikki has a great voice , leon despite the judges comments he has a good chance, just needs to get in the saddle and have fun. Rhydian love him hate him he will live his dream note sure on the xfactor but some agent will c the dollar signs not my cup of tea but he has what it takes to have fun maybe make some cash aswell .as for the rest of the bunch short life for them sorry to say and prove me wrong if they can.dont realy have what it takes, Louis almost for got you dear has a powerful voice i like you two just was not in my top 3 . i would like to c if they can write a song of there own and c how that turns out ,so to end this note i will say all the best to everyone have a great life.
john atkins, leeds , uk
Wants locking up in my opinion.
Sarah, Derbyshire, England
Bring back the lovely Kimberely in her place!
steve, london, uk
what she did was wrong - that goes without saying. However in the film I am not convinced that part of it is staged .The people who should feel ashamed are those who stood and watched.Don't forget someone told the papers and got money for that and probably for taking the film!
Yes Emily did wrong but I would like to know how long ago this was?Does this also mean that we can never be forgiven for being young, stupid and making a mistake.I think it states in the bible 'let him who is without sin cast the first stone.'
Emily you did wrong but one day society will let you show remorse and give you a fair hearing.Until then continue with your singing and good luck.I am sure that Sharon feels the same , she has had harsh things said about her in her lifetime but she now gets people sucking up to her as she is now worth a fortune .You could be there one day ...only remember who put you down now .Learn fro your mistakes Emily and get on with life you have a lot of living to do .......
maggie bull, hemel hempstead, uk
Please tell me that she will be up for assault. Also, do British laws permit the victim to sue the criminal for pain and suffering?
Anna, Sacramento, CA, USA
It is such a let down to hear something like this, Emily seemed such a nice girl and has a lovely voice and it is just awful to hear she has assualted somebody like this. She could have gone so far in the competition and it was so nice to see such a young girl with such talent however i feel totally different toward her now and so many people will be disappointed with her unnecessary behaviour.
Pippa, Channel Islands,
Hopefully this might be a lesson to other lawless, socially irresponsible young people. A little fame might take you out of the gutter but nothing will ever take the gutter out of the girl.
Paul, Dorset, UK
totally and utterly disgusted with her behaviour towards another pupil. Quite right that she has quit the show
julie, leeds, england
Well all I can say is that she has robbed someone of a place in the final as have the two made up groups.
NTLASL, Durham, England
What goes around comes around.
rachel, Manchester,
I watched the video, it is horrific. She was the one I wanted to win. How awful she is. This is bullying at its worse.
I am glad she is out and glad that she will now see that there are consequences to your behaviour.
Her dream is over and I hope it wasworth it....
kat, Powys,
she deserves everything she gets I'm glad she has had to leave. what appalling behaviour which can never be excused. I am a spiritualist christian and believe in karma, what goes around emily comes around-ever heard of that ?and its usually tenfold when the intention in your heart is just pure evil.
somebody like her doesn't deserve a place in the x-factor,serves you right you bully!!!!
Anita Nickson, stockport, England
i dont see why people are saying how they are dissapointed when really all you have to think is, are you perfect. No, noone is perfect. i garuntee most people that have left comments have hurt sumone throughout there life. Either virbally or physicly. stil hurting someone. your not on x factor for ur past beahviour. your on there for your talent . and she has tallent
john , portsmouth,
Hey - it's in her eyes and attitude for all to see.
David, Chester, UK
Apalling behaviour, her parents must be proud of this piece of work
Steve, london,
What a stupid stupid girl. Did she not think that it would come out sooner or later? I think its right that she's got kicked off the show, not a good role model atall. She looked so sweet and innocent too, just goes to show!
Karli, Manchester,
oh my god i used to think that emily was such a nice girl and should be one of the finalists after what she has been through and her wonderfully amazing voice but i am totally shocked how a girl that acted so innocent could do a thing like that and my opinion has totally changed against her i am really dissapointed in her even though i dont know her.it just proves that you shouldnt judge a book by its cover . i dont know what else to say apart from i am gobsmacked.
Emily Bowles, Surrey, England
Anybody unfortunate enough to have seen the brutal attack by this horrible girl can only rejoice in the fact that she has been removed from the show. People like this should not be in the public eye or ever be allowed to become role models for a younger generation. For once a sensible decision!
Jackboy, London,
Will she be charged with assault?
Bee, london, UK
Perhaps the police should be involved from an assault issue. These happy slapping incidents are disgusting. Now they think they can do the do, then go on national t.v - ridiculous
Maria, Edgware, Middlesex, U.K
maybe this should be a warning to other teenagers who think what they are doing is fun...its not its cruel and hurtful,,,not only that everyones past allways comes back to haunt them hope the young girl that she was slapping walks down street proud with smile on her face...what goes around comes around,,,debbie merseyside
debbie, liverpool,
Lets hope she gets a visit from the Police !
Her poor family, the shame of having a daughter like that !
maureen, batteresea, UK
It's nice to see 'karma' in action. I hope Emily is very very ashamed. I suspect however, she is just gutted that she has been found out.
Her mother should take a very close look at her parenting skills because she has done something wrong - it would seem she has raised a violent bully.
Jessica Elliot, Northampton, England
Things like this should be investigated on an individual basis before going to the live shows. What a disgrace, yet another young yob on our streets, and who would of thought it? butter wouldnt melt!
Kelly, newcastle,
Ladbrokes had placed her as second favourite to win the contest? Apart from her appalling behaviour, had they not heard her sing? She sang so flat last week and the week before she as as painful to listen to as to watch on those mobile phone vids.
Tom Moncrieff, London, England
I am absolutley disgusted by such behaviour! I feel myself and the rest of the viewers have been deceived! I have founds myself voting for Emily both weeks of the live x factor shows and feel viewers that have voted for Emily should receive a refund.
Alex Palmer, Buckingham, England
Horrific - sorry but it's so extreme so she got her just deserts at the end its Karma - what you dish out you get back 10 times more. So bye - your dream has gone because you created a nightmare for another human being - live with it!!
ali, Pontypridd, Mid Glamorgan
I was so shocked at this cus she seemed like such a nice girl!! Just goes to show. Makes me sick how she had the nerve to get peoples sympathy vote on her tragic little life "ohh how i nearly died" then she goes around attacking people.
How did she think this wouldnt come back to haunt her is beyond me, Im glad she has gone, Now maybe when people see her in the street she will proberly be the victim of the abuse for a change.
amy, stratford, U.k
I am delighted that Emily's family have responded in such a responsible manner and condemned her. It is to her mother's credit that she has offered none of the usual excuses for her daughter's ghastly behaviour. Perhaps this will, in some small way, make teens realise that there are always consequences to anti-social thuggery.
Poor Sharon, Danni smug grin will be even wider!
Christine Wilson, Glasgow, Scotland
Utterly despicable behaviour. If she escapes without being charged with assault she has got off lightly. She certainly put on a good performance coming over as a sweet, deserving girl. I wonder how many of the others are being equally phoney.
jan lyons, hemel hempstead, England
Unlucky? The girl is a thug - there are pictures - a court is not required to prove her guilty. Get thugs out of acceptable mainstream culture and they may just learn to be human.
David Thijm, Stourbridge, UK
Dreadfull and vicious attack on another human being. Emily needs to sort herself out. Its absolutely right that she should be kicked off this show. We reap what we sow and Emily has been taught that at an early age, It will help he in the long term.
David Hodge, London, UK
She didn't fool me.
The way Emily reacted to negative comments by Simon Cowell
convinced me she is the typical poor product produced by todays failing society. Being a teacher, I see them all the time running amok in schools. Sorry folks it's bleak.
mr k, milton keynes, bucks
Once again, we (myself included) are manipulated emotionally by the media, and by a violent thuggette. The carefully chosen music to accompany this young girl`s tragic story (cough) was edited to garner support and sympathy.
In retrospect, I wonder how the Audition shows would have gone for this kid if it had been accompanied by Thrash metal jarring BG music, as we watched staccato imagery of her beating the crap out of another young girl, or threatening to gouge out the eyes of someone with a blade?
Lady Shiverz?
How very apropo...I do believe they call a knife a "shiv" in Prison... which is where little malcontents like this deserve to end up, NOT on National TV weeping croc tears and living the high life.
PJ, Runcorn,
I am pleased that finally wanna be celebs who are potentially going to be in the media spotlight are going to be made an example of too ensure that violience is not tolerated. Other people who let down fans with appalling behaviour should also be snubbed and pushed aside for more deserving people. Why is that drugs, violience, bad language and lack of respect has been tolerated for so long. After all where would these celebs without fans?
Sarah, newcastle, northumberland
Am very sd to hear and see what this youg girl has done. She had won the nations heart and even if she didn't win the X-Factor am certian there would have been lots of oppurtunities out there for her which would have changed her life forever and now she's lost it all. Its good she decided to quit as she would have been voted out anyway I think in tomorrow's show.
I hope this comes aa a lesson to all who want fame. Before going out there for auditions and looking for the celeb status check yourself out cause these days there's no secret whatever u do will catch up with u and the wordst is that the whole nation will know. If u know you've committed any thing that will offend the nation just back off and forget about fame. Look at BIG BROTHER which I think is a good example. Too bad for Emily but she deserves it.
Sali, London, UK
What goes around comes around! At least there's some kind of justice. She'll regret this for the rest of her life. Unfortunately, I'd be willing to bet the last person she'll be blaming is herself!
Clare, Port Glasgow, Scoland
Im actullay liked Emily but I feel sorry for Sharon she now only has one act left and Alishia has no hope in lasting another week in the bottom two. Maybe she could bring Kimberly back. Emily always had that hard woman look about her.
Somebody else could have had a chance.
Callum, Derry, NI
I totally agree with what the show has done and think Emilys behaviour is diabolical.
I think they should put someone on in her place, give them the chance she should never have had, and I say bring back Gavin Jones, the wedding singer, he should never have gone in the first place.
Charlie Crosby, Stokenchurch, UK
Charlie Crosby, Stokenchurch, UK
Shocking as she clearly comes from a completely non-violent family culture.
M, London, UK
I would just like to say that Emily has not only let her family, Sharon and the viewers down but the one important person she has let down is HERSELF. I am really sorry she has done that because she will never forget that for the rest of her life, she could have been such a star.
Angie, Brighton, England
angie, Brighton, england
lets hope she gets done for her actions then. what is it with teens and their total disregard for other people and nowadays other peoples lives.
Ivan Mornington, lichfield,
I am totally disgusted by her actions. I just saw the video and it sickened me to think someone who i thought was an innocent, decent girl has turned out to be just a thug and a bully. I am glad that this is gotten out because it just goes to show that bullies never prosper.
Daniel, London, England
people like her are supposed to be role models for our children, you know, give them hope that they too can live their dreams....NOT tell our children "hey act like an angel but behave like an animal"......good riddance I say.
kerry Mornington, lichfield,
I think she was wrong to portray such an innocent image to the UK when deep down she knew what she'd done and still gave off as being innocent. No one who treats people like that deserves to be supported at all, never mind on the UK tv's. She was one of my favorites to win. I'm appalled.
Joanne, Keighley, England
So the technology that has 'thrilled' and 'entertained' these sick happy-slappers, and all those who watch these video nasties, has sounded her death knell from something that only happens once in a lifetime. As a result of this, if she doesn't learn her lesson after this, she never will.
I just heard an X Factor spokesman stating that the show doesn't want to be associated with scandal, or something along those lines, but the real reason she never should have been allowed to continue in the competition should have nothing to do with scandal - just decency and morality. No youngster would be able to hold this girl in high esteem and follow this role model!
Elaine Nevin, Farnborough, Kent
Good . I hope that she and others will realise that actions have consequences ,ie.. what goes around comes around. It is a shame that this Country's school no longer have proper discipline which is most of the reason for increase in bullying.
Kay Simger, London, UK
Its peole like that that give this country a bad name. People like her should be locked up, and then let all the people that have ever been bullied punch and kick her to the ground, see how she like it.
As for going onto the X-Factor and trying to become a pop star and role model for other kids, what a joke.
Mr A Battie, london,
I totally agree with Emily leaving the x factor. She was very talented but what role model could she make to other youngsters after seeing the video?
Why does the show not find out ALL details on contestants as soon as they make it to bootcamp? Then these things would not happen.
Great shame but as they say the show must go on!
Naomi Newman, Midhurst, UK
What's the X Factor ?
Tonto Kowalski, Nottingham,
Oh Emily, You have a lot of potential, dont let it go to waste. Simon Cowell was a prat with his remarks, you samg it well in my book!
Michael, Brmingham, England
unlucky. You have done the right thing
kevin smallbottom, hallswan, London
Perhaps the victim could come forward and then the police could prosecute Ms Nakanda. Statements by TV produceds sound quasi judicial. What they say is really not as relevant as what the law says.
If cameras were allowed into our courts, perhaps ITV could broadcast the footage as a warning to other young people for whom casual violence might be the norm. If they broadcast it during the X Factor, it might reach quite a few of said group.

All it was was a gurl fight, it wasnt a happy slap at all, papers like to twist things so much, in the previous video she didnt even have a knife she has curling tongues, so many lies, i feel sorry for the girl

Very sadly this is the kind of trash that pollutes the streets of London, it poses serious questions on raising children in this city.
A sad state of affairs.

Great Stuff, these videos they take on their mobiles always come back to halt them. She will now only be remebered as the thug that took part in X - factor and not the poor little girl who nearly died last year. She must be so proud of herself.

How long before she is portrayed as a victim herself I wonder?
Boo hoo, I hope the apology Anna received was sincere and not just done on the back of her own self pity and that of her family who are probably thinking only of the money their precious, innocent child could have earned them and not of the feelings of the innocent victims!

I think someone who acts in such a disgusting manner should certainly not be on our telly. Emily had acted like an innocent girl on stage and has fooled our hearts but underneath she was such a horrible person. Just shocked that some could act in such a manner.
