UKTV Drama, 7pm
It's a tough one for Lynley tonight, as he returns to the family pile to wed his beloved Helen, only to find that the chief suspect in a murder case is his drug- addicted brother, Peter.
Brigitte Bardot
Biography Channel, 8pm
If FHM had existed in the 1960s, Brigitte Bardot (below) would have topped the Sexiest Women in the World poll every year. Back then, the French film star was famous for popularising the bikini in movies such as The Lighthouse-Keeper's Daughter, but it is for her opinions rather than her looks that Bardot has become most famous as she enters her dotage. Her outspoken right-wing views, particularly on illegal immigration, have led to several convictions for inciting racial hatred. She is also a campaigner for Animal Rights, opposing Islamic practices that involve the slaughter of animals. Like her or loathe her, this profile reveals a complex character who has not mellowed with age.
Those Were the Days
ITV3, 9pm
The series continues with a look at the wedding of the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer on July 29, 1981. Angela Rippon remembers her experiences reporting on the ceremony, while two wedding-dress makers retell the story of their panic to recreate Diana's dress in less than four hours. It's not all frivolity though, as a Liverpool policeman recalls the Toxteth riots that occurred only a few weeks earlier.
