Morgan Spurlock is officially back. After chasing the great, if downright greasy, Super Size Me (in which he lived on nothing but McDonald's victuals for a month) with the atrocious Where in the World is Osama bin Laden?, we thought the stunt documentary-maker was history. But he's saved himself from a life in One-hit-Wondersville with the web film 30 Days of Night.
Spurlock becomes a vampire for a month to explode the myths and discrimination surrounding night walkers. Aping Super Size Me, he visits a doctor to discuss his health concerns, explains to his wife the reasons he can't pull the plug on the project and head home (“There's a strong possibility that I'll bite your neck”) and ends it all with a scene bloody and violent enough to rival Tarantino.
From vampiricism to variety, and an extraordinary piece of dexterity - which could be the only time you'll ever find yourself entirely excused for exclaiming: “Now, that man who knows how to handle his balls!”. This pianist plays the keyboard by juggling balls above it, carefully dropping them onto his weathered instrument. And we're not talking about Chopsticks renditions. The man has range, lurching from Abba's Chiquita to When the Saints Go Marching In before pulling out the patriot's classic Yankee Doodle. It's one of those must-see clips.
If you happen to reckon you're “down with the kids” because you've heard of b-boys, think again - this video, currently doing well on YouTube, could really confuse you. Yes, these guys are breakdancers but they're not like any other b-boys you've seen. This crew are bee-boys. Kitted out in buzzy yellow and black costumes, the breakdancers were hired by the ice-cream manufacturer Häagen Dazs to draw attention to the Colony Collapse Disorder threatening the future of honey supply. Now, would it be just too painful to suggest the bee-boys find themselves some fly girls?
