Big Brother housemates Sara Folino and Lisa Appleton will leave the house £25,000 richer after they were nominated for this week's eviction.
The pair were forced to sit through public nominations last night, when housemates openly told one another who they wanted to face eviction. They received the most nominations and now face Friday’s public vote.
But there was a silver lining to being nominated in the series’ penultimate week – they were given £50,000 and told to decide whether to split it or try to take it for themselves.
They agreed to split it and will now leave the Channel 4 show at least £25,000. One of them could also add to their bank account again if they go through to take out the series title on September 5.
Winning the £25,000 could was the icing on the cake for Appleton, who has enjoyed a happy week. The 40 year-old sales rep became engaged this week after her partner and former housemate was allowed into the house’s garden to propose to her.
The cash prize has rescued a week from hell for Sara after the 27-year-old PA endured taunting by Rex Newmark and Darnell Swallow. Darnell called the Australian an “ugly bitch” and told her she had clearly “been around the block”.
Both were warned by Big Brother over their behaviour but later seemed to lay the blame at Sara’s feet, with Rex telling her "well obviously you made an issue of it".
Darnell claimed she reminded him of the issues that bothered him outside of the house.
Both then nominated Sara for eviction.
According to bookmakers, Lisa is the favourite to to survive the eviction, but bets indicate Michael Hughes is likely to win the final.

I wanted Lisa to win but never mind she is £25,000 richer. Nice for the wedding.
I think Rachel should win because she has shown her genuine side in the house. She is a good mediator and has the skills to listen to people and help them both verbally and physically without undermining them.

Hello, I also agree, Rex has been a real pig to everyone, who does he think he is. he is arrogant, self centered and spoilt, acts like a 3 year old child most of the time. and his hair must be sprayed to stay so neat. what a pain. I would certainly not eat in any restaurant he dished up food in.

I think Rex should be evicted immediately. His remarks to Sara were completely abusive. He has been rude, controlling and abusive to all of the other housemates most of the time he has been in the house. I do not understand how other housemates can not see it, except Michael.
