Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert

For some tweens and teens TV events don’t come much bigger than this. The huge-star- cum-brand Hannah Montana belts out number after number in a high-energy live gig. Her real-life alter ego Miley Cyrus gives the cameras a backstage pass as she squeezes rehearsals between her TV and school commitments.

Her Disney stablemates and Camp Rock pin-ups The Jonas Brothers even do a few songs. And it’s all in 3-D.

Barack Obama

Biography, 7pm

Nothing earth-shatteringly revelatory here but, seeing as it’s looking increasingly likely that Obama will become the next American president, this glowing portrait of the “skinny kid with the funny name” is definitely worth watching.

Neil Young Night

BBC Four, from 9.30pm

For a man who has been forcefully reticent when it comes to talking about his past, Neil Young: Don’t Be Denied (10pm, the 60-minute documentary at the centre of the BBC Four Neil Young Night), represents an epiphany for fans of Young (and no doubt the Canadian rocker himself), as he opens up to the film-makers and discusses his career in infinite detail.

Leaving no stone unturned and utilising unseen performance footage from Young’s extensive archives, this is music documentary- making at it’s very best and is a must watch, even for non-Young enthusiasts. Also showing tonight is a classic BBC In Concert from 1971 (9.30pm), and CSNY Déjà Vu (11pm), a recording of the 2006 Freedom Of Speech tour from Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.
