The top 5 single We Be Burnin’ trades in hip-hop beats for harsh R&B, but remains a booty- shaking masterclass. Ever Blazin’ has an irresistibly skippy rhythm and catchy rap and sweet collaborations with Nina Sky and Tami Chynn won ’t hurt his female fan base.

Sean Paul hasn’t entirely abandoned his roots, however. Breakout and the title track are rough, tough dancehall. Rhythms come courtesy of some of Jamaica’s top young producers and Sean Paul claims that the lyrics now take in serious issues. The only hitch is, it’s hard to make them out.
