The core labour vote is welfare beneficiaries, immigrants, public sector employees and trade unionists. Always has been. Working people, not even low income, can be classified as core labour anymore - certainly not after the fat bureacrat, 10p tax rate and Bank bailout debacles.
Steve Bell, London,
The rise in E European population in Crewe is not the reason for the swing to the Tories, as previously stated it is not as much as 20% so people need to get their facts right. The people of Crewe are hard working straight talking people and they wont vote for you if you lie.
Andy G, Nantwich.
A Garnett, Nantwich, UK
I know they need poor people to get them elected but taxing the hell out of everyone to keep them poor may make socialist economic sense but it doesn't do alot for your popularity
Rob, Sevenoaks, UK
if nulabour don.tknow were the labour voters have gone they should go outside any local pub and they will see them there having a smoke but i would not advise them to wear thier red rosette as the words go away will be polite.
brian rice, halifax, england
New Labour have simply been in power too long, they've run out of ideas, and the tories are offering something fresh.
And for the attention of GruntVelder, Snaith is Humberside, not West Yorkshire.
Pete, Snaith, England
BNP the real alternitive
GruntVelder, Snaith West Yorkshire, UK
Where did Labour go ? Down the Pan where they belong
GruntVelder, Snaith West Yorkshire, UK
In a few short years Brown and the New Labour lie has finally been exposed.
Scotland gone and now their once patient supporters now turning full turn towards the BNP.
At least the voters will know what their voting for, they asked for socialistic and got right wing last time they voted.
John Kerr, Edinburgh,
Crewe has suffered an enormous 20% rise in its population due to uncontrolled East European immigration.
What did Nu Foreign Labour genuinely think was going to happen to their vote when they allowed this to happen!
Talk about "out of touch"
They are NOT living in the real world that we inhabit.
Cheryl L, crewe, UK
Politicians are deluding themselves if they truly believe that the 10% tax issue is the main reason for dissatisfaction amongst the voting public.
It goes far deeper than this.
Uncontrolled immigration. Insane political correctness. Over regulation and control from local government, etc etc.
Geoffrey Dawe, Chepstow,
To those who say England is a nation created by immigrants. Prior to late 20th century there was next to no immigration. Look at peoples second names - the Smiths and Fletchers etc named after ancient long dead crafts these peoples families have lived her for hundreds of years.
Alan Trent, London, UK
Labour Party Voters
The power of any administration is drawn from two specific areas; expertise around the Prime Minister and capacity mange the party's own machinary to have supporters fine tuned policies for the future.
Rredefine the role and limit of the private sector is the key for Brown.
Buddhdev Pandya MBE, Bedford, UK
Why fault the BNP they want immigration truly controlled ,forces back from overseas lands and zero tolerance on crime and the end of political correctness and out of Euccp more sensible policies and not forgetting a better schooling and its nor a shock to see memberships raising very rapidly.
Tony Winchester, Southend, G.B.
If the Labour Party people turn to the BNP, it would expose their hypocracyand they deserve loosing. Britain has been always populated with the mogrants and enriched with their labour for prosperity. Fee entry to UK by the Europeans , sorry we do not take non eu workers freely anymore.
Buddhdev Pandya MBE, Bedford, UK
The problem for a lot of people in Britain today is the fact that there is no viable right wing party. The Conservatives have moved left to the 'center ground' and become so similar to New Labour. Where will the right wing vote go? UKIP and BNP.
Denis Moon, Bridgend,
I sincerely hope that Labour Party voters DO NOT turn to the BNP. This party is poison. Beneath a thin veneer of respectability they spread racial poison. Whether we like it or not Britain is multicultural and personally, whatever their racial origin, I want to live in harmony with my neighbours.
Neil, Gloucestershire, England
why are we the only country in europe to give full equal rights to foreign labour?even sacrificing the rights of british people and creating unemployment just to keep the front going that we are the perfect country that cares for all. i have never voted bnp. but intend to at the next election
mike c, blackpool , uk
Why can't one of the mainstream parties just say that will close the open door to Europe and only let in a certain amount? This is why i vote BNP.
John, London, ENGLAND
I think, H Marway, by 'genocide', he means the apparent attempt to entirely subsume the various peoples and cultures of the British isles under WAVES of foreign immigrants. And the attempt to disguise and render-more-palatable this process under the label 'multiculturalism'.
Will, Gloucester, England
I want to see the "open-door" policy to immigration closed and I want the system to be tightened up. I agree with a lot of the BNP's policies, but having a total ban on immigration would have disasterous consequences.
Tom, Liverpool, UK
Voting BNP is simply dumb. You really think these goons will solve anything?
What will they do? kick out all foreigners? stop immigration, ha just watch the enconomy stop! I know there's tension but having goons run the country is not the answer.
peter, Newcastle,
Victor M - "Grandaughter of a Baroness, lives on big estate"?
In an interview the other day, she described herself as an unemployed single mother of five. You don't think she could have being economical with the truth, do you?
Arundel, South Coast, UK
H.Marway....you'll be waiting a long time for anyone but the BNP to do anything about immigration. And while you do you are ensuring your children/grandchildren will live as second class citizens in a third world country. Stop listening to media lies and vote BNP
DaveJ, Torquay, England
The word genocide,is "the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group. " I doubt British people voted for a genocide not a 'genociding' of their own people! I feel alienated by Labour and I want immigration tackled but not in the hands of the BNP.
H Marway, London ,
It's the "Sinister potential" of this government that's bad, some of the ideas they have about social engineering are just plain mad or scary ie every telephone call Email or text message you send is stored in a database good idea guys !
No thev'e got to go this is Britain not North Korea
Colin, Corby, UK
I've never met him but I know I'd like Victor M if I did.
Ed Moran, Torquay,
Labour have, over a decade, completely lost the plot. So what if the opposing guy's dad worked his socks off (and shoes), became successful and sent his son to a good school, where he became a barrister. Isn't that what working hard and having aspiration was all about. Labour are a yesterday club.
Andy Fleming, Liverpool, UK
The labour party put foreigners first. Foreign cheap labour. Foreign capitalists. Foreign wars and illegal immigrants. They are replacing and genociding the British people. They are therefore the biggest traitors in British history. The labour voters are turning BNP.
keith Bennet, wigan, uk
That Dunwoody woman is too much of a toff for me- Grandaughter of a baroness, lives on big estate in Wales nowhere near Crewe, wears appalling red jackets. Did no one tell her red is OUT..............even for so called nulab. candidates.
Nepotism gone mad here.
Victor M., Chelmsford, Essex.,
