Is this the end for Dwain Chambers?
That’s it, it’s over for him.
The judge has dismissed his case on all counts, and actually came down quite hard on Chambers’s legal team for the delay in bringing the proceedings, which he could have brought anytime over the past three years.
He’s left these other athletes hanging because he may or may not have taken their place at the Olympics and the judge made a clear point of that.
What's next for him?
He hasn’t said anything until now, but I would have thought this verdict and the manner of it will mean that he would retire from the sport.
Do you think he will appeal the decision?
No, he’s not going to appeal and the BOA are not going to claim costs, so it’s not going to cost him anything. All of his legal work was done for him pro bono.
Who are the big winners out of this?
Well undoubtedly it’s the BOA.
Their by-law and the spirit of the laws in this country have been unanimously upheld. The message that has come from this is that drug cheats don’t go to the Olympics, and that has to be a positive one for the sport.

Chambers biggest crime was getting caught. I'm willing to bet there are a fair of Britains Olympic hopefuls who are...how can we put it - on the gas?
Dexter Morgan , Walsall,
Do feel a little sorry for him but hey, he broke the rules knowing what the penalties were & he got caught.
If he was truly serious about his Olympian ideals, why try out for Grid Iron & Rugby league first? To help with his sprint training?
I think not.
